The National Animation Museum team had a great meeting with Assemblymember Nick Schultz and was honored to present his office with a zoetrope, a reminder of the lasting impact of animators and animation professionals throughout our region.

We’re grateful for Assemblymember Schultz’s ongoing collaboration and support as we work to build a museum in our district dedicated to celebrating the art and science of animation in all its forms.

It's wonderful to now be working from the same corner of Burbank, and we look forward to continuing to collaborate.

With Disneyland celebrating its 71st anniversary today, the National Animation Museum is looking back at and celebrating the remarkable career of Eyvind Earle, one of Disney's most influential artists.

A fine artist, illustrator, and author, Earle joined Disney in 1951 and helped shape the visual style of classics including Peter Pan and Lady and the Tramp. His defining achievement came with Sleeping Beauty, where he created its iconic, storybook-inspired look and background art.

Earle's extraordinary contributions to animation were recognized with a Disney Legend honor and with ASIFA-Hollywood's Winsor McCay Award for lifetime achievement.
