Two historic New York State asylums. One in Binghamton, the other in Buffalo. One built in 1858, the other in 1870. Designed by two of our greatest architects, both are designated as National Historic Landmarks.

For over a century these facilities provided health care, security and employment for thousands. Both were closed and abandoned in the 1990’s. Today, one has been rehabilitated, reused and stands as an outstanding example of historic preservation. The other is STILL WAITING.
