Extremely pleased to have as a highlighted artist for Carlton Gallery’s Spring Group Exhibition, “Contemporary Abstract Art - Exploring Individual Perceptions”

The exhibition will run through May 30 - July 15, with the Opening Reception held this Saturday, May 30th, 2:00 to 5:00pm.

Mary-Ann states on her website, “I am a painter and sculptor mostly known for my abstract, colorful clay sculpture inspired by the human figure. My interpretation of the human experience on physical, emotional and spiritual level is revealed in each of the sculptures I create. I am fascinated by the concept of turning raw clay, abstract symbols and shapes into works that convey human qualities and prompt human connections. My sculptures are described as classic modern; the shapes are elegant and organic with contrasting geometric patterned surfaces of primarily colorful glazes and incised lines.”

brings the warmth of spring into the gallery!

“North Carolina has been home for many years and with both mountains and marshes, waterfalls and white, sandy beaches, the beauty of this state is a constant inspiration.
My studio landscapes are based on location photos and Plein Air (outdoor) studies and my floral paintings are created from the cut flowers I bring inside and arrange. My paintings have been described as both vibrant and imbued with a sense of serenity.”

Come join us for the Opening Reception of Carlton Gallery’s Spring Exhibition (May 30th) and witness Jean’s painted serenity!

beautiful work will be featured in the upcoming Spring Exhibition “Contemporary Abstract Art - Exploring Individual Perceptions” Running May 30 thru July 15, with the Opening Reception May 30th, 2-5pm!

“I use the abstracted horse form as metaphor for emotional and philosophical inquiry. Titles like Don’t Try to Figure Out Those in Love and Be Grateful for Whoever Comes suggest explorations of relationships, acceptance, and existential wonder. These works transcend literal representation, using equine figures as vessels for universal human themes.”

Titles of Laura’s featured in the upcoming exhibition include; “The Pull of Love will Never Lead You Astray”, “To Understand Stillness One Must Dance” and multitudes more!

has brought in new work for The Spring Exhibition! (Opening May 30th, 2:00-5:00)

“When her husband’s career took them to rural Italy for 5 years, Cindy went to the local hardware store for supplies and began to paint. She enjoyed exploring the Italian countryside and capturing “le viste belle!” After returning to the USA, she has continued to grow and develop as a full-time impressionist artist over the past 15 yrs.”

As seen on Cindy’s website, a recent judge remarked… “Her composition allowed the viewer to feel like we accidentally happened upon this private place, nestled beautifully into the surroundings.”
