Back by popular demand, Flat File Saturdays are returning this season!

Every second Saturday, we will be highlighting one artist from our inventory. We open their drawer, or "flat file", carefully pull out their prints, and display them for visitors to explore. We'll feature different artists and groups of work, talk about how the prints were made, and share some of the stories behind them.

From childhood treasures to books, records, objects, and keepsakes, we’re drawn to finding, gathering, and holding onto the things that mean something to us.

Collecting art takes that instinct a step further. It becomes a way of following your curiosity, discovering what moves you, what stays with you, and what you want to live alongside. At Flatbed, we’ve spent more than three decades helping people discover original prints and artists worth collecting.

Coming soon, The Sculptor Imprint, Part 2!

This exhibition is the second in a three-part series that explores the relationship between sculpture practice and printmaking. Due to scheduling conflicts, we are closing part 1 a bit sooner than expected, but we are bringing you part 2 this upcoming Saturday (9/5)!

This curated exhibition showcases sculptors who have collaborated with Flatbed to explore ideas rooted in three-dimensional forms on a two-dimensional printed plane. These collaborations demonstrate that printmaking is not simply a means of reproduction, but a medium of discovery.

September 2 - 30th, every Wednesday from 6pm-9pm. Secure your spot today!

By the end of this series, you’ll know how to source and prepare copper plates, transfer your images, build a rich tonal range, navigate the chemical room, mix inks, select the perfect printing paper, operate a professional press, and properly store your finished prints and plates.

This class is offered to all levels of experience, but is most helpful to those wanting to learn the basics.

Etching 101 is held every Wednesday for five weeks and a bonus optional open studio session is available to the class on Thursday each week.
