June 5th, 1998 was the beginning of a life altering chapter in my life.
Timing was everything and it was just meant to be.
A door opened, I answered a question and that conversation led me to get my first space.

I didn’t know how to run a gallery but I loved the artists and art so very much that I had to try.

People actually showed up and they were excited by the work and supported my vision.
Press happened organically and it helped people find us and legitimized the genre.

I think of the hundreds upon hundreds of people I’ve met in the name of art.
People that would become lifelong friends; my art family.
The Folk Life has been tremendous and I’m so grateful and can’t have imagined all of the joy it would bring to myself and others.

27 years goes by real fast when you love something ❤️❤️❤️

It’s been a wild ride since June of 1998 with “ The Little Gallery That Could!”
Creative powerhouse, Ron Pippin of is graciously hosting a retrospective exhibition of 27 years of Garde Rail, “The Folk Life” at his lovely space in Moro Bay.
The retrospective will feature some of Garde Rail’s best and finest that the gallery launched with, as well as a couple of hand chosen additions.
If you’re in or around Moro Bay this summer, stop by and see the show!
