In just this week we’ve lost so many of our treasured artists, Dolly Parton, Tim Curry, Yayoi Kusama. And 36 years ago we lost the legendary Stevie Ray Vaughan. Nearly three decades and he still feels present in Austin, with his music and his statue at Town Lake, sometimes holding a sunflower, as Judy Paul painted. Judy’s painting celebrates our ability to keep memories as fresh as possible, just like blooms in the heatwave, and we’re happy to show it at the gallery.
