Bravo to our adult cast performances on their performances in “The Addams Family Musical” this weekend. I’m so proud of the actors in the youth and adult cast on their willingness to think outside the box and take risks each week as they dug deeper into playing these wacky characters. Thank you! I hope you had fun. I know I did.

Thanks also to Chris and Kayla Gates for the lumber donation and professional construction services. And we couldn’t have had such a beautiful set without volunteer painters Donna-Lisa Otto, Adrianna Neves and Kayla Gates. Snacks were once again graciously provided by the Hobel family. Thank you for your delicious donation!! And a special Thank You to Eric Chun of Creative Music Services for his donation of state of the art sound equipment and wireless microphones. Our actors, parents, staff, volunteers, donors and patrons all play an important role in helping us continue to provide quality theater arts education and programming in Auburn. Music & More Arts Academy is celebrating its 40th year as a family run and women owned business in Auburn. Our owner, Kay Coder, is a passionate advocate for the arts in Auburn and, in the early days of our business, provided a creative, compassionate think tank for local musicians and music teachers that resulted in the development of the Auburn Symphony, other arts organizations and enriched the local theater arts community by providing training for over a 1000 students, many who became music teachers. Locals may remember attending lessons at our High Street location before we moved to the DeWItt Theater and enjoying shows in our backyard theater.

Now, at our current location at 3116 Olympic Way, we are presenting our 300th show “The Addams Family Musical” presented by our OnStage Players troupe in collaboration with Music & More Family Theater. That is just one of the five theater workshops we currently have running for actors ages 5 - adult and producing ten shows each year. Thanks to our dedicated directors and technical crew who continue to help us make Theater Magic and to our dedicated parents and community volunteers.

Congratulations Addams Family cast on a great opening night!!!

Music & More OnStage Players have one more featured show this Sunday, March 15th at 3:00 pm of “Addams Family The Musical.” This student show features actors ages 8 to 16 with special guest performer Michael Platte. Next weekend we will be featuring our adult cast March 21st and 22nd.

The Onstage youth cast is excited to open Music & More’s production of “Addams Family the Musical” this evening at 7:00 pm. Sunday, March 15th is a 3:00 pm matinee. Little Folks Theater workshop starts today for young actors 5 - 13, Tuesday 4:00 to 5:30 pm. Don’t miss this fun opportunity to learn about musical theater by participating in the new children’s musical “Defrosted”. What I love about this show is the creative script and the amazing music, all written for young voices.
