I am so proud of our production team. Not only are these talented individuals thoughtful, able and kind artists, designers and technicians but they are also talented actors and musicians! Heartfelt thanks to my friends and colleagues Micheal Platte (Lighting Design), Melanie Radler (Sound Engineer), Eric Chun (Sound Engineer, Musician), Chase Coder (Sound Technician), and our Student Stage Technicians Charlotte Saul and Ruthy Collier. I appreciate your professionalism and commitment to making each of our productions truly special! Special Thanks to Eric Chun of Creative Music Services for donating our state of the art sound system. Thanks also to Damian Horne of Sonic Image for providing and often donating additional sound equipment.

More photos from Music & More Children’s Theater’s production of “How to Train Your Dragon The Musical Jr.” our cast gave terrific performances last weekend to full houses. I’m so proud of these young actors, many brand new to theater, for their diligent work and focus on developing their characters, learning theater skills and interacting with an audiences while singing a challenging musical score. Bravo! 👏

A big thank to our team of parent volunteers who worked together to make the rehearsal process positive and fun while still offering challenges. All our parents helped with the production, but several parents became deeply invested in this dynamic show. Melissa Descovich shared her acting training with our actors and offering to individually coach cast members. That extra work and instruction in her fun acting workshop took the show to a new level. And Melissa made beautiful costumes and props for Hiccup and Toothless. Bravo! Mary Price shared her ability to sensitively choreograph beginning dancers and created choreography that was rousing, dramatic and lyrical. Bravo! Kellie Connor helped us again with graphic design making a gorgeous cast board and beautiful costumes and props for Stoic and Astrid. Thank you for sharing your artistry! Leslie Alizaga became our Dragon Mother and make-up designer for the dragons. Beautiful work! Big thanks to the Gate’s family for Chris Gates construction of our rolling stairs and Kayla Gates work on our Gronkle puppets! We appreciate your support across many shows. Thank you!

The most wonderful aspect of this teamwork was the students felt supported, loved, respected, empowered and performed with joyful confidence. Thank you again to all for making this such a beautiful experience for your children and their audiences! Bravo!
