Eileen Marcotte - not just a fiber artists, a one-of-a-kind GOURD artist! Her love of creating unique pieces is immediately evident when you step into her Auburn, California studio and class room. She hand picks her gourds from
the field and meticulously prepares them for her art. Many pieces get their inspiration from the natural landscape and season of the picturesque Foothill and Sierra Region around her. Her masks, baskets and weaving designs often blend together touches from the Southwest and African. Eileen teaches class from beginner to advanced. Her work is represented throughout the United States and her gourd masks, baskets, and vessels are held in private collections around the world.
