Art and Poems for Prince, from the community, 10 years on.

This piece was created in January of 2024. The background glass was made from one continuous piece of swirling glass. If even one piece were to break, it would ruin the flow. Luckily Prince was watching over me while I worked and made sure nothing broke. This piece is called Welcome to the Dawn. Sus...

"A place in heaven far off in the future"
- Prince, Art Official Cage, 2014

The latest essay from the People's Museum for Prince. This may be the strangest one yet.

This post brings together Prince Rogers Nelson's prescient warnings about technology, Dr. Nettrice Gaskins' AI portraits made with deep learning, and some extraordinary published research from Anthropic: when AI models talk to each other with no prompting, conversations slide quickly into philosophical explorations of consciousness β€” spirals, Sanskrit, silence, and many πŸŒ€ emojis

What would Prince think of this wild moment we are in?

Love Letters to Minneapolis πŸ’œ

For everyone who's visited Prince's hometown and experienced the warmth of that community - now is the time to send that love back.

Minneapolis has welcomed so many of us. The kindness of strangers. The Prince stories shared on street corners. The friends we made at First Ave, at Paisley Park, dancing through the grief, honoring Prince together.

I'm calling on the Prince community to share your Minneapolis stories, photos, art and memories with The People's Museum for Prince so we can help transmit these messages of love. Let's show our Minneapolis friends they're not alone.
