Featured in the Dior atelier section of the exhibition "Dior: Crafting Fashion," this toile cotton muslin mock-up served as a foundational element for the final “Konnichi-Kate” look by John Galliano in Dior’s Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2007 collection.

In the exhibition, visitors have the opportunity to go beyond the final garment and explore the meticulous craftsmanship that goes into creating each Haute Couture look.

Through clean lines and refined silhouettes, designer Marc Bohan modernized couture for career-driven women during the 1980s.

Leading the House of Dior as creative director for nearly three decades, Bohan considered impeccable craftsmanship, tailoring, and minute details just as much as the final look. This 1986 design from the Dior Haute Couture Autumn/Winter collection was inspired by the abstract expressionist works of Jackson Po***ck and merges both masculine and feminine elements for a more contemporary shape.
