Baked Eggplant Dinner on the Lawn – Saturday, August 15th at 5:00pm. Reserve your spot for a casual summer buffet on the lawn celebrating Ferragosto! The menu will include baked eggplant and meatballs from Patricelli’s of Troy, a hard roll, a green salad, a dessert and water or soft drink. The buffet will be served from 5:00 to 7:00 and will be held inside in case of rain. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. Please RSVP by August 12th so we know how much food to order, by calling the museum at 518-435-1979 and leaving a message, mailing a check to the museum or purchasing through PayPal at [email protected].

July 2026 Summer Fiesta at the American Italian Heritage Museum. Had to move it inside due to air quality issues in the Albany, NY region, but everyone had an enjoyable time. Thanks to all the volunteers who made this fiesta possible.

It’s been more than six months since flooding destroyed the thrift shop that supports the Italian American Heritage Museum in Albany. The hard work of volunteers has led them to a reopening date of June 23rd.

With profound sadness, the Board of Directors of the American Italian Heritage Museum and Cultural Center announces the passing of Professor Philip J. DiNovo.

Professor DiNovo was the Founder and President of the American Italian Heritage Association and the American Italian Heritage Museum in Albany, New York. His vision, dedication, and lifelong commitment to preserving and celebrating Italian American heritage shaped our organization and enriched countless lives.

A respected figure in America’s Italian community, Professor DiNovo was also knighted by the Italian Government—an honor that reflected both his cultural contributions and the esteem in which he was held on both sides of the Atlantic. His legacy will endure in the museum he built, the community he nurtured, and the history he worked tirelessly to preserve. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all who were touched by his remarkable life.
