Eda Phanlert SRIPROM (1985, Thai, She/her) is a multi-disciplinary trans artistbased in Berlin, Germany. Eda received a MA in Image Fashion from Institut Français de la Mode inParis. She worked with international fashion houses before becoming an independent designer, artist, and founder of Eda Editions in Berlin. Eda’s workplays with the symbolic meaning and signs of textiles and how clothes frameour role in society. Eda has exhibited in various institution including museum der kulturen (Basel), Rautenstrauchjoest museum (Koeln), schwules museum (Berlin), Bohdisattava LGBTQ+ Gallery (Bangkok) and many more

Each piece acts as a bridge between the forgotten and the urgent, transforming mundane fragments into a powerful collective voice. This cross-medium approach allows me to challenge traditional boundaries and confront contemporary issues head-on. Ultimately, my art serves as a visual catalyst—disrupting routine perception to spark deep awareness and vital conversations about the critical issues evolving in the world around us.

Helio Volana
France

Hélio Volana (1994, France) lives and works between Paris and Antananarivo. They graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels and also studied electroacoustic composition at the Pantin Conservatory. Their interdisciplinary practice unfolds through textile, installation, performance and sound work. Considering installation as sanctuary, performance as ritual and sound as prayer, Hélio Volana explores the relationships between memory, bodies, spirituality and territory. Emerging from personal heritage and the intersections of French and Malagasy (Madagascar) histories, their work draws on colonial archives, q***r countercultures and precolonial Malagasy spiritual traditions to examine resistance, resilience and the porous boundaries between visible and invisible worlds.
Recipient of the FoRTE (Île-de-France Region, 2024) and MIRA (Institut Français, 2024) grants, Hélio Volana was an artist in residence at Fondation H (Antananarivo), the Institut Français de Madagascar ( Antananarivo) and La Ménagerie de Verre (Paris), and is currently an artist in residence at Artagon Pantin (2026–2028). Their first solo exhibition was presented at La Teinturerie (Antananarivo). Selected group exhibitions and performances include Maison Populaire (Montreuil), Galerie Éphémère du Centre Tignous d’Art Contemporain (Montreuil), Ceysson & Bénétière (Saint-Étienne), Fessetival (Lausanne) and FIAP Martinique (Fort-de-France). Their research has also been published in Afrikadaa magazine (Politics of Sound #2).

หลังจากที่ผมเดินทางไกลดั้นด้นมาร่ำเรียนวิชาปรัญาที่มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่, ผมเดินทางไปหาแม่เป็นครั้งคราว — ในช่วงปี 2563-2565 และ ในภายหลังปี 2565 ผมก็ยังคงเดินทางไปหาแม่อยู่บ้าง แต่สิ่งที่ต่างออกไป คือ ผมไม่เคยลงรูปคู่กับแม่ในโซเชียลมีเดีย หรือ เปิดเผยเป็นสาธารณะ ว่า ปฏิสัมพันธ์ระหว่างผมกับแม่เป็นอย่างไร. ไม่แม้แต่จะดำเนินการทางด้านนิติกรรมเพื่อจดทะเบียนเป็นบุตรบุญธรรม(ซึ่งผมควรจะทำได้แล้วหลังจากบรรลุนิติภาวะ) ผมพยายามไม่เกี่ยวข้องกับแม่ทั้งในทางกฎหมายและชีวิตโดยทั่วไป เพื่อปกป้องแม่ออกจากชีวิตในการเคลื่อนไหวทางการเมืองของผม.
ผมอาจจะวิตกจริตไปโดยไม่คิดอย่างมีเหตุมีผลก็ได้ แต่ไม่มีอะไรรับประกันว่าแม่ของผมจะปลอดภัยจากการถูกคุกคามโดยรัฐ และ ไม่มีใครจะสามารถรับประกันและให้ความมั่นใจในเรื่องนี้แก่ผมได้. ผมจึงจัดวางความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างผมกับแม่ไว้ในความระมัดระวังตัว เพื่อให้แม่เป็นแม่ของผม ไม่ใช่แม่ของนักเคลื่อนไหวทางการเมือง.

A sound performance art by Dimas Angkling

Opening Ceremony, Pattani Biennale 2026

In his first encounter with Pattani, Dimas Angkling doesn’t arrive with answers. He arrives with questions; letting two stones interrogate each other, searching for what a place holds in its friction, its memory, its hope, its resistance.

Twenty minutes of amplified sound excavating identity, and the quiet violence of what remains unheard.

Following the live performance, the interactive installation opens the next day. All attendees are invited to step into the work; investigating the stones themselves through grinding, banging, and hitting becoming part of an ongoing sonic archive.

ในการพบปะกับปัตตานีเป็นครั้งแรก Dimas Angkling ที่ไม่ได้เดินทางมาพร้อมกับคำตอบ หากแต่มาพร้อมกับคำถาม

Title: Biopower in a jar

This workshop introduces the science of lacto-fermentation as a cross-cultural method of food preservation. Participants will engage with concepts such as power, agency, and time in order to develop their own recipes. Food, here, becomes a medium to unpack complex social issues and transform matter into an artistic experience.

This workshop draws on work by Iris and Louisa, which will be presented at the Pattani Biennale.

ชีวอำนาจในโหลแก้ว (Biopower in a Jar)

เวิร์กช็อปนี้จะพาผู้เข้าร่วมทำความรู้จักกับศาสตร์ของ การหมักกรดแลกติก (Lacto-fermentation) ในฐานะวิธีการถนอมอาหารที่พบได้ในหลากหลายวัฒนธรรม ผู้เข้าร่วมจะได้สำรวจแนวคิดเรื่อง อำนาจ (Power) การกระทำและการกำหนดตนเอง (Agency) และ เวลา (Time) เพื่อนำไปสู่การพัฒนาสูตรหมักในแบบของตนเอง

ในเวิร์กช็อปนี้ อาหารไม่ได้เป็นเพียงสิ่งสำหรับการบริโภค แต่เป็นสื่อกลางในการทำความเข้าใจประเด็นทางสังคมที่ซับซ้อน และแปรเปลี่ยนวัตถุธรรมดาให้กลายเป็นประสบการณ์ทางศิลปะ

Salt in the Sea, Acid on the Land
Garam di laut, asam di darat

Meet us at dusk to join a procession that speaks to a destined encounter of the Sea and the Land encapsulated in jars. Inspired by a Malay proverb, a food cart will be the companion of a sensory journey into the biological power of fermentation.

We will start at the central clock tower and follow the Pattani river, stepping outside
standardized time. The jar contents will later become actual engines for clocks. By tasting botanical ferments made with salts from Pattani, Hong Kong and Palestine at different stops, you will trace a throughline of cultures that refuse to disappear.

"ในหม้อเดียวกัน ย่อมได้มาพบกัน"

มาพบกันในยามพลบค่ำ เพื่อร่วมขบวนที่เล่าเรื่องการพบพานซึ่งถูกกำหนดไว้ระหว่าง ทะเล และ ผืนดิน ที่ถูกบรรจุอยู่ภายในโหลแก้ว แรงบันดาลใจจากสุภาษิตมลายูนี้ถูกถ่ายทอดผ่านรถเข็นอาหาร ซึ่งจะนำพาผู้ร่วมงานออกเดินทางสัมผัสพลังทางชีวภาพของการหมัก ผ่านประสบการณ์ที่กระตุ้นทุกประสาทสัมผัส

เราจะเริ่มต้นที่ หอนาฬิกา ใจกลางเมือง แล้วเดินเลียบแม่น้ำปัตตานี ก้าวออกจากกรอบของเวลามาตรฐาน สิ่งที่บรรจุอยู่ในโหลเหล่านี้จะกลายเป็นกลไกที่ขับเคลื่อนนาฬิกาจริงในเวลาต่อมา ระหว่างทาง คุณจะได้ชิมเครื่องดื่มและอาหารหมักจากพืชพรรณที่ใช้เกลือจาก ปัตตานี ฮ่องกง และปาเลสไตน์ ณ จุดต่าง ๆ เพื่อร่วมสำรวจสายใยทางวัฒนธรรมที่ยังคงดำรงอยู่และไม่ยอมเลือนหาย
