KATAKISHI Art Collective,
Shunsuke Takamizawa

Participating Artists in the 4th International Art Festival, KENDURI SENI 2026, under the theme “RASO”
KATAKISHI Art Collective,Tokyo,Japan
KATAKISHI is a “material shop” founded in Tokyo in 2017 by Iwao Arawatari, Rintaro Unno, and Shunsuke Takamizawa. As of 2025, its core team consists of nine members.
It operates as a shop while engaging in various artistic activities, focusing on collecting and selling “Deadstock Data”—self-created data that has never been shared or uploaded and is known only to its creator.
Although this data exists outside conventional social and economic systems, it reveals aspects of human richness, desire, and creativity.
Through collecting and circulating these materials, KATAKISHI aims to celebrate individual creativity and carry its value into the future.
The artist has been active in the contemporary art scene since 2017, presenting solo and group exhibitions at galleries and art institutions across Japan, particularly in Tokyo, Kanazawa, and Niigata. The artist has also participated in major art fairs, including 3331 ART FAIR 2021 and ARTISTS' FAIR KYOTO 2024.
Their works are included in public collections, including the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo (MOT) and the SIZOU DATA CENTER project. The artist has also conducted art workshops and received the ART BASE 88 Prize in 2021.
