30 paintings in Paul Koh’s latest solo exhibition, In Case of Lost Childhood. That’s a lot to see… and a lot of stories.

Every painting comes with a longer label because Paul has written about the thought, memory or story behind each work. And they’re worth reading.

After 22 years of CatmaSutra, the cat may be familiar but the stories keep changing. Same same, but different. 😂

Come by Was**a and meet the cat. The exhibition runs till 4 October.

An art gallery is a social space. At least, that’s how Was**a seems to be.

Art is part of living life, isn’t it? People come in, look at art, talk, sit around, meet artists, meet other people and sometimes just hang out for a while.

That’s what I like about working at Was**a. It feels a little like having lots of house parties. 😂 The gallery is filled with beautiful art and 人气.

I like art in living spaces. I like art around people. Maybe that is why Was**a feels more like a home than a gallery sometimes.

I mean, why not? 🥰

YIKES. I just realised our last Facebook post was 11 May. How did I miss that? 😱

A lot has happened since then. The past few months have been a lot — emotionally, physically and mentally. There were moments when I was asking myself if I could keep going after 25 years in the gallery business.

I don’t know about you, but whenever I think I’m down to my last ounce of strength, somehow I find a little more. I always do. And I’m always glad I did. It’s a bit like finding loose change between the sofa cushions. Hahaha. 😂

Anyway, not only am I carrying on, I’ve extended Was**a’s lease for another three years, expanded the gallery to two floors and somehow packed in countless events over the last three months. Was**a Instagram has also grown to almost 9,000 followers, with more people walking through our doors and happily, some walking out with artworks. Hooray!

There is much more I want to do. And now that I know Instagram hasn’t been magically posting everything here 😂, I’m going to be more diligent with Facebook too.

I think I’ll use Facebook a little differently. More thoughts, opinions and conversations about art, artists, collecting and what actually goes on inside an art gallery. Plus the occasional personal ramblings about life, business and the universe. 😂

Got my worried face on as usual. New country. New art fair. New crowd. Shipment across borders. A lot of unknowns.

Then the .id team got on the call and sorted everything out. Good people. 🥰 Genuinely helpful. 🙏We feel ready now.

Was**a Art is going to Jakarta. 4–7 June. .art debut in Indonesia. Keep an eye on our IG for their amazing new artworks.

Last night’s opening of the 5th Aspiring Artists Exhibition with Dao by Dorsett AMTD Singapore.

Thank you to the new artists and returning artists from the programme for showing your works. And to for the continued collaboration — it allows us to support HCA Hospice and raise both awareness and funds.

A good evening of art and good company.

The exhibition runs till 27 May.
