I’m Rafael Rodrigues, a Brazilian tattoo artist specialised in Traditional (Old School) tattooing. I started my journey in tattooing in 2016, when I began my apprenticeship at the age of 16 in Passo Fundo, a city in the south of Brazil. From the very beginning, I chose to dedicate myself exclusively to Old School tattooing, building a strong foundation based on bold lines, solid colors, and timeless designs.

My approach to tattooing is rooted in tradition, but I enjoy pushing its visual impact by mixing bold, heavy lines with more delicate line work. This contrast allows me to create a distinct visual rhythm and ensures each tattoo carries my personal identity. Colour plays a key role in my work, with a strong focus on vibrant tones and high contrast. I’ve always been drawn to creating tattoos that stand out and can be recognised from a distance, while still maintaining clean ex*****on, balance, and longevity.

✨ The History of Antiek ✨

The Rozengracht was once one of six canals in Amsterdam’s Jordaan neighborhood. But by 1890, it was filled in—partly due to poor hygiene from polluted water, and partly to make way for a wide road connecting the city to new neighborhoods west of the Singel canal.

At number 184 Rozengracht, the building has seen it all. Once the final studio of Rembrandt himself, it’s since been home to a mechanics workshop, a butcher shop, a catering supply store—twice!—a bar, and even a Japanese antiques shop.

Then in 2013, a young Anibal Fernandez moved in and transformed it into the tattoo studio we know today.

Anibal was drawn to this spot not just for its rich artistic and cultural history—but because the former Japanese Toko perfectly matched his personal style and deep love for traditional Japanese tattoos.

Over the past 12 years, the studio has welcomed countless apprentices and artists, each adding to the legacy—continuing the creative spirit of Rembrandt, nearly four centuries later.

Kiki is our Micro-Realism and Ultra-Fineline Artist, who has a talent for delicate hand pieces!

Kiki loves co-creating designs with each client, turning personal stories into meaningful, one-of-a-kind pieces. Her work ranges from clean line-work to detailed Micro-Realism and Asemic Script inspired designs, always with a focus on the details. With a background in design and a lifelong passion for drawing, she began her tattoo journey in 2020. For Kiki, tattooing is both an artistic practice and a shared experience, where creativity and intention come together!

Long time friend is returning to our studio! DM us to make a booking!

Bunga is a renowned tattoo artist from Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. He is the founder of Monkey Tattoo Studio and is celebrated for his dedication to preserving and revitalizing traditional Bornean tattoo art, particularly the Iban and Kayan styles, also known as hand tapping.

Jeremy’s work is deeply rooted in the rich heritage of Borneo’s indigenous communities. He emphasizes the importance of cultural accuracy in tattooing, often critiquing modern misinterpretations of traditional designs. His philosophy, termed Mu’O Tawai, reflects a holistic approach to art, integrating traditional motifs with contemporary expressions. This concept underscores his belief in the continuous evolution of art while honoring its origins.
