Taking “rules” as its starting point, the artist will show families how to create forms reconstructed from aluminium sheets in a workshop that blends classical techniques with playful imagination through hands-on experimentation

承載著個人故事與集體經歷，逾1500束由觀眾創作的紙藝樹冠作品在今年「開箱2026：怡人之地」蔓延生長，回應著藝術家賴恩．維拉馬爾對遷移與歸屬的反思。在這四個星期的共同創作中，來自不同年齡、背景的參與者為作品注入生命力，讓眾人的記憶在此交織，呈現出這座城市中的多元想法。在閉幕式，藝術家與觀眾一同沉浸於一片充滿鳥鳴與蟲聲的聲景中，並帶走作品的一部分，延續這份集體回憶。「怡人之地」反映了地方與身份並非由一個人創造，而是由許多不同的經驗與故事共同建構而成。

Carrying both personal stories and collective experiences, more than 1,500 paper clusters created by the participants have grown around the space in 𝘖𝘱𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘰𝘹 2026: 𝘗𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦, responding to the artist Ryan Villamael’s reflection on migration and belonging. Over the four weeks of its co-creation period, participants of all ages and backgrounds brought the work to life with their contributions, interweaving their personal memories that have shaped this diverse city. The artist and participants gathered together at the closing ceremony to immerse themselves in a living soundscape of birds and insects, taking home a shared memory along with a piece of the work. 𝘗𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦 reflected that place and identity are not created by one person but are constructed through various experiences and stories.

觀看影片回顧2025年度的「藝術家之夜」——媒體藝術家陸明龍、創意工作室affect lab、實驗電子音樂人33EMYBW、DJ易世界分別透過現場表演及電影放映、數碼舞蹈派對、視聽表演、電子音樂實驗，帶領觀眾穿越時間，探索人工智能、身體和儀式所蘊藏的變革力量，從中想像流動無邊的未來景象。
實驗性現場表演節目將不定期上演，留意我們社交媒體的更新。

A throwback to 𝘈𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘴’ 𝘕𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 2025: the media artist Lawrence Lek, creative studio affect lab, experimental electronic music producer 33EMYBW, and DJ yisekai brought together live performances and film screenings, a digital dance party, an audiovisual performance, and experimental electronic music to transport audiences across time. Exploring the transformative power of artificial intelligence, the body, and ritual, they envisioned a fluid and boundless future.

The workshop led by local artist MUDWORK invited parents and children to co-create interactive installations. Bridging the boundless imagination in the virtual realm to the physical world, the programme also reminded us of the real interaction with our families.

“Ballet is a very strict form, but that discipline and rigidity can also create a particular kind of freedom. It would sound like freedom and ballet do not quite go together, unless you start telling stories with classical ballet that are different or reinterpreting the old ones.”

下期展覽「天鵝社」即將上演——藝術家安妮．伊姆霍夫將古典藝術形式，與當代藝術裝置並列，叩問大眾娛樂與古典藝術背後的階級性傳統。
The exhibition 𝘏𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘚𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘴 is around the corner. For the show artist Anne Imhof will juxtapose the classical forms with contemporary art installations, challenging the hierarchies that have long shaped popular entertainment and the classical arts alike.

開幕周期間，國際團隊將與香港芭蕾舞團舞者在 9 月 25 及 26 日合力帶來特別演出，而香港芭蕾舞團的改編演出亦將10月至11月內舉行。
The opening week will feature two special performances with Hong Kong Ballet and an international cast on 25 Sep and 26 Sep. Adapted performances by Hong Kong Ballet will take place throughout October and November.

大館當代美術館為2017年威尼斯雙年展金獅獎得主安妮．伊姆霍夫舉行亞洲首場大型個展——「安妮．伊姆霍夫：天鵝社」。展覽以宏偉的委約作品為焦點，通過塑造氣氛的場景構作、聲音裝置及現場表演，帶來富有感染力的多元感官體驗。 在紛亂的都市背景下，「天鵝社」的展覽及演出以虛構未來為背景，講述一位女中豪傑踏上尋愛之路的故事。

Tai Kwun Contemporary presents 𝘈𝘯𝘯𝘦 𝘐𝘮𝘩𝘰𝘧: 𝘏𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘚𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘴, the first major solo exhibition in Asia by the 2017 Venice Biennale Golden Lion recipient Anne Imhof. The exhibition features a commission of monumental new works that construct a powerful multisensory experience through atmospheric scenography, sonic installations and live performances. Set in an imagined future, the exhibition and performance House of Swans follows a heroine struggling on her path to love through a chaotic cityscape.

As immersive media, digital imaging and artificial intelligence push the boundaries of the arts, what opportunities and challenges do they bring? And how might they shape the future of the performing arts?

Following the Asia premiere of the art tech x dance experience 𝘞𝘢𝘺𝘯𝘦 𝘔𝘤𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘨𝘰𝘳: 𝘖𝘯 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘖𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘌𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩 at Tai Kwun, this edition of 𝘛𝘢𝘪 𝘒𝘸𝘶𝘯 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 brings together Septime Webre, Artistic Director of Hong Kong Ballet; Ulf Langheinrich, an internationally renowned Austrian visual artist, filmmaker and composer; and Dr Kyle Chung, Head of Arts at the British Council Hong Kong. Drawing on their unique experiences and perspectives, they will explore how artistic vision and technological innovation continue to influence one another. As technology increasingly shapes how we create, present and experience art, the conversation will also examine what remains at the heart of meaningful human connection.

「Hi! & 識」互動區
Interactive game at Hi! & Seek

在日常生活中，我們的身體如何在各種姿態之間切換？現場展演「莊偉：親密的歸順」的表演者以不同的形體動作，不斷重演電影場景或京劇身段。今期「Hi! & 識」邀請你在手翻書描繪一組今天你「表演」過的動作，逐格呈現這刻的你。翻頁之間——正如展廳中的表演者——身體姿態隨之自由地流動。

How do we move our body throughout the day? In the live art exhibition 𝘐𝘴𝘢𝘢𝘤 𝘊𝘩𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘞𝘢𝘪: 𝘈𝘯 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘚𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳, performers use bodily movements to repeatedly re-enact scenes and gestures from the film and Peking Opera. For Hi! & Seek, we invite you to think of a sequence of movements you “performed” today, and portray yourself frame by frame in a flipbook. Across these turning pages – just as in the exhibition – your bodily gestures will flow freely.
