It’s not surprising that artists find inspiration in this diverse county and this is evident in the gallery where we have a strong emphasis on the sea and coast. The first Puffin chick seen in Dorset in 30 years has been spotted along the coast in Swanage! There are now three pairs in the county. That doesn’t include the ‘Puffin on a Rock’ that’s just arrived in the Gallery from the Midlands - made by renowned Raku ceramicist Paul Jenkins and our favourites the fishing puffins who fly out regularly 😆
