A big thank you to all those who visited me and Craft festival in June and Waterperry House in July. Great show at Bovey Tracy, and for once I even managed fresh flowers on my display! I didnt manage the foliage part at Waterperry, but in that degree of heat they would not have lasted long. Huge appreciation for the public, team and organisers who made it through the weekend, OK it was a BIT warm, and there was some kind of sports thing going on, but there was some brilliant ceramics and it was great to meet so many friendly exhibitors. Good to be back neat the sea though!

Tomorrow I open the glaze kiln, the last firing before Craft Festival in Bovey Tracy. Not long now! One of my favourite events, looking forward to meeting some new people ,and seeing some old friends from my former life in Totnes.
Here is a preview of some of the pots I will be exhibiting. The turquoise is a new glaze, very excited to open the kiln tomorrow, always nice to have something new to show, fingers crossed!
Craft festival is at Mill Marsh Park, from 12th to 14th June.

Hottest day of the year so far and what am I doing? Firing the glaze kiln of course! Making use of the heat from the kiln to dry the pots for the next bisk. Preparing for Craft Festival in Bovey Tracy, just 15 days to go, looking forward to one of my favourite events, and only panicing a LITTLE bit! ok its a bit warm at the Crab, but hey, if you can't take the heat, stay out of the kiln room!

Here’s a sample of some of the pots you can find inside The Happy Crab Gallery during Dorset Art Weeks. Here you can find the largest range of Lea Phillips pottery anywhere, plus lots of indoor and outdoor sculptures by Ama Menec. A lovely cool working studio, with a sunny sculpture garden. Do come and see us, we are on the way to the beach!

We are busy getting ready for Dorset Art weeks, still lots to do, but we will be ready to welcome you into our studio, gallery and sculpture garden. We have a large sellection of colourful, origanal pots, sculptures and jewellery. Do come and see us, we are near the centre of Weymouth, two minutes walk from sea. Make it a day out!

Are the darkest days over? February is coming to a close as I write this newsletter and its not raining! As festival and event confirmations are coming through it's a good time to look ahead to brighter days. It takes some motivation to get in the studio after the winter break, so it is cheering be....
