👐 Clay, creativity, and first Cultural Passport stamps!

We had a brilliant morning delivering a clay workshop at Atlantic Academy Portland, led by ceramicist extraordinaire Anna Elise Stoodley, as part of the Cultural Passport programme.

For many of the students, this was their first Cultural Passport stamp - a chance to get hands-on with creativity, try something new, and discover that culture isn’t just something you observe, but something you take part in.

The Cultural Passport was developed during Weymouth & Portland’s Towns of Culture 2025, with the aim of opening up more cultural opportunities for young people across our area - and days like today are exactly what it was designed for.

The students threw themselves into the session, and the teachers and staff couldn’t have been more welcoming or supportive. A huge thank you to everyone at Atlantic Academy for making us feel so at home, and to Anna for guiding the session with such warmth, skill, and patience.
