We had a wonderful time at our Open Day on Saturday when we welcomed the Somerset Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers who showed visitors and volunteers their skills, the craft, and their passion.

Did you know Dawe’s Twineworks next Open Day is Saturday 27th June (10-4)?

This wonderful place of local history has been in West Coker since 1895.

It’s known for housing the only surviving rural twine-making machinery from bygone days.

There is a two-storey structure more than 100 metres long, known as the Ropewalk.

Join one of the tours to explore this and more on Somerset’s twinework history.

Start and end your tour with a slice of cake and enjoy the beautiful flowers and surroundings of the visitor centre.

🟢 Reporting at meetings
