Fabulous to welcome this rare Aston Martin Lagonda (and lovely owner) to the museum on its journey to the Hampton Court Concours. The car attracted plenty of attention from visitors, who were delighted to see this iconic model up close and admire its distinctive design.

New Podcast alert!

A remarkable new arrival at the Aston Martin Museum takes centre stage in Episode 58 of the Aston Martin Heritage Podcast.

This 1924 Aston Martin, generously bequeathed to the Aston Martin Heritage Trust by one of its members, is one of the original side-valve models produced by Bamford & Martin Ltd. Just 27 of the 61 cars built are known to survive.

Chassis 1944 also has a fascinating competition history, having raced at Brooklands in 1927 and 1928.

Garry Taylor is joined by AMHT Collections Manager Clare Hirst and Aston Martin historian Steve Waddingham to explore the car’s history, its importance to the collection, how it came to the Trust—and what happens next.

We are delighted to welcome a very special addition to the Aston Martin Heritage Trust’s working collection.

Thanks to the generosity of one of our members, 1924 Aston Martin chassis 1944 has been bequeathed to the Trust. One of just 27 surviving side valve cars built by Bamford & Martin Ltd, it has more than a century of history behind it.

The car was raced at Brooklands in 1927 and 1928 by R.H. Corbett and, following careful research, was later fitted with an authentic period style body.

We are extremely grateful for this generous bequest and look forward to preserving, caring for and enjoying this important piece of early Aston Martin history.

Object in Focus: 3D Printed Vulcan Steering Wheel

Sometimes the most exciting discoveries come from the most unexpected places. While exploring a box of previously unidentified archive material, we uncovered this fascinating 3D printed design model of an Aston Martin Vulcan steering wheel, dating from around 2016.

At first glance it may look like a standard Vulcan steering wheel, but this prototype tells a unique story. Unlike the production version's distinctive 'U'-shaped design, this wheel features a full circular rim. It was created to meet UK Motorsport Association regulations for a customer intending to race their Vulcan, making it a rare and unusual piece of Aston Martin history.

With only 24 Aston Martin Vulcans ever produced, this object also serves as a fitting nod to the 10th anniversary of customer deliveries in 2016.

Today, we celebrate 28 years since the Trust was formed.

Since its creation, the Trust has grown into an organisation that now cares for and preserves 24 heritage vehicles and the largest Aston Martin archive in the world, protecting an important part of Aston Martin history for future generations to enjoy.

As we celebrate this milestone, we reflect on how far we've come, thank everyone who has contributed along the way, and look ahead with excitement to what comes next.

Here's to the past, the present, and the future of the Trust.

Pictured here is the Ulster, the very first vehicle to enter the Aston Martin Heritage Trust Collection. Gifted by the Aston Martin Owners Club through the original Deed of Gift, it was entrusted to the Trust for its long-term preservation and protection.

Today, the Ulster proudly resides in the museum and occasionally attends events and shows, allowing us to share its remarkable story with enthusiasts and future generations alike.
