(Bank Holiday Monday) Come and celebrate with us. Packed with family friendly activities. Donkey rides and rescue farm animals to meet, bouncy castles for little ones and young adults, live music (Simply Uke, Street Sings, Streer Mens Choir), scavenger hunt and lawn games, picnics, and performance.

Free for museum visitors. U.8s go free. No need to book.

Remember, museum visitors get free parking passes for Clarks Village car park 2 each time they visit - just pop into the ticket office when you arrive to pick up yours.

It's a revolution in disguise. A special shoe, beautiful in its ordinariness, and a post-war trailblazer because suddenly hard-wearing shoes could be made affordable.

This Runabout shoe from the early 1950s combined simplicity, measured fittings, and new technologies in production which required fewer steps and fewer workers. The result? a leap in automation of the shoemaking process and the creation of an affordable standard school shoe.

Its Shoemakers Museum's first birthday and we've planned an incredible Big Day Out 10-3pm on Mon 31 Aug. A Big Day packed with family friendly activities to enjoy. Donkey rides and rescue farm animals to meet, inflatables and bouncy castles for little ones and young adults, live music, scavanger hunt, punch and judy, activities, picnics, and performance.
Free for museum visitors. No need to book. Plus remember parking in Clarks Village Car Park 2 is free for museum visitors - just pick up your pass from the Museum's ticket office when you arrive.
