National Trust Ightham Mote A magical 14th century moated manor house, with stunning gardens and estate. Should this happen repeatedly we will be left with no option but to ban users.

A unique restored moated manor house and family home surrounded by beautiful gardens, lakes and wooded walks. Built nearly 700 years ago, this house has seen many changes and been owned by medieval knights, courtiers to Henry VIII and high-society Victorians. Highlights include the picturesque courtyard, Great Hall, crypt, Tudor painted ceiling, Grade I listed dog kennel and the private apartments

of the American Charles Henry Robinson, who gave Ightham Mote to the National Trust in 1985. Music at the Mote - Jazz Dynamos | Sat 29th August

There's still time to get tickets for tomorrow's live music event at Ightham Mote.

Jazz Dynamos, featuring Lucy Randell on vocals, will be taking to the stage from 7.30pm tomorrow night, taking well-known songs and transforming them, as you have never heard before, with a mix of jazz, bossa, and samba.

Book tickets online via the Ightham Mote website or call 0344 249 1895.
Doors open 6.30pm to 10pm, £25 per person.

Summer of Play: dressing up and badge making | Thursday 27 August

Join us for the last creative Thursday this summer at Ightham Mote.

From 11am until 3pm, get dressed up in costumes inspired by different periods of history. Then it's time to try the traditional art of brass rubbing and reveal beautiful patterns and designs.

This is a free drop-in activity and booking is not required.

Children need to be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Free event, normal admission to Ightham Mote applies.

Have you explored the historic house at Ightham Mote yet?

The moated structure has been in this location for 100s of years and there's a Great Hall, Drawing Room, two chapels and lots more to discover.
To find out more about the house before you step inside, there are free daily introductory talks in the morning and afternoon (please check on arrival).

Normal admission applies, which is free for National Trust members. House open 11am-5pm (last entry 4.30pm).

Summer of Play nature craft | Thursday 20 August

Join us for a free nature craft session at Ightham Mote on Thursday. The one-hour session starts with a nature-themed interactive story, then it's time to get creative and create a woodland decoration; make a woodland friend, magical creature or a favourite story character to take home.

Free event, normal admission to Ightham Mote applies.

Sessions start at 11am, 12pm and 2pm. Booking is not required, but spaces are limited and subject to availability. Children need to be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Come and join the fun this summer at Ightham Mote! Have a go at table tennis, croquet, bean bag toss and archery on the North Lawn. there's also dressing up, a sand pit, sand tray and giant chalk boards for getting creative.

Included with normal admission (free for National Trust members). Daily 10am-5pm, last entry 4.30pm.
