Sundridge Gallery was opened over thirty years ago by Tim and Maggie Tyrer, keen collectors of both Antiques and works of art. The gallery stocks mainly 19th and 20th Century quality watercolours and oil paintings and has sold over 5000 paintings since it opened. The gallery's stock now includes some paintings by traditional contemporary artists. The Gallery tries to keep older paintings in their
original frames, if they are in good order, but otherwise the paintings are presented in quality mouldings (not plastic) with acid free materials, and hand washed mounts. The Gallery also has an excellent oil restorer, with over 40 years experience, and a qualified conservation watercolour restorer. Whilst aiming to buy paintings in perfect condition, sometimes these have to be restored or cleaned to preserve them or to remove stains or foxing, thus preserving them for the future. A restoration service is provided.
