So here we are. Our final exhibition before we finally close our doors in July. It’s a special one so well worth seeing. It’s been an amazing 47 years. Exciting and sometimes exhausting! But we’ve met some wonderful artists who have become very special to the gallery. Image courtesy of

We don’t often highlight a particular painting but this one is special. The artist Marj Bond who died in 2023 was one of our oldest artists and this painting was found in her attic while clearing her house. It called “The Last Letter” and right now Mary Queen of Scots last letter is on show in Perth Museum. You can see it in arTay right now.

Each year at arTay we try to find new artists to show to our visitors, and here is one of them. James Tweedie RGI is from Glasgow and we have loved his work work for a long time and are delighted to be showing it for the first time at arTay. 21st - 24th May

You may well be asking where have we been for a while and it's a good question.
We haven't gone anywhere and are still showing lots of lovely art.
Here's some new work from Alexander Robb. A beautiful painter from Dumfries and Galloway.
