The Mill halfway thru getting its first new protective coating for 5+ years. It will get a 2nd coat in the Spring. Visit Thanet- Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate

Miss Potter was one of over 100 visitors we had on our Heritage Sundays with an extended opening. Thank you to everyone who came to see the Mill.

Last weekend Miss Potter went and explored Drapers Windmill.

It was a wonderful session, run by volunteers, who shared lots of information about the history of the windmill and how it all works. You get to climb all the ladders and if you're brave enough - go to the very top!

Sunday 27th September 2026 is the last weekend to visit the windmill from 12-4pm. Best of all, it's completely FREE! Go and visit some history that is right on our doorstep.

Don't forget to take a photo and share it with Miss Potter.

All of us Kent KCC Mills are in a difficult situation. As an Asset of Community Value -Drapers Windmill Trust has put forward an Expression of Interest in line with the timetable for Divestment. The Trust will now be working on a bid for a sustainable future.

The move would have ensured they stayed in public ownership...
