Ce Jamieson is honoured to share her Summer Edition feature for Modern Aristocrat Magazine England, “Rooted in Respect.”

The article reflects her personal connection to cattle farming and rural life. Having lived in both England and America, Ce has witnessed the devotion, strength and sacrifice of cattle farmers on both sides of the Atlantic.

Her years in England, her marriage to heraldic artist Andrew Stewart Jamieson, her time living in Italy following their divorce, and her eventual return to America all shaped the way she views the land, rural heritage and the people who dedicate their lives to caring for livestock.

Returning to America rekindled Ce’s connection to cattle farming and reminded her how important it is to use art as a voice for those whose work is too often overlooked.

Cattle farmers are more than producers. They are caretakers of animals, stewards of the land and guardians of traditions that connect generations. Through her paintings and writing, Ce hopes to bring greater awareness to their challenges while celebrating their courage, dignity and enduring contribution to rural communities.

The illustrations for the article were created by Ce Jamieson.

From the rolling green hills of England to the wide-open ranches of America, cattle farming represents far more than a livelihood—it is a proud heritage built upon family, faith, resilience and a deep respect for the land.

Ce Jamieson is proud to support the cattle farmers and farming families of both England and America who work tirelessly to care for their livestock, protect the countryside and preserve traditions passed down through generations.

Though separated by an ocean, British and American cattle farmers share the same enduring values: hard work, responsible stewardship, devotion to their animals and a determination to leave the land stronger for those who follow.

Two nations. One respect. One remarkable farming legacy.

Papa's Farm Cousins by Ce Jamieson
SOLD 2017 ENGLAND

This painting carries me back to those treasured weekends on Papa’s farm, when the days felt longer and childhood seemed as wide as the open fields.

The warm pinks and glowing golds recall sunlit afternoons, while the deep blues hold the quiet of evening settling over the land. Somewhere within the colours are cousins laughing, boots dusty from wandering, screen doors opening and closing, and Papa never far away.

We did not know then how precious those ordinary days would become. We were simply together—surrounded by family, fresh country air and the comforting feeling that we belonged.
Some memories fade with time. Others remain like colour on a canvas, returning whenever the heart needs to find its way home.

The Hands That Feed England by Ce Jamieson
SOLD 2017 ENGLAND

Across England’s green fields, cattle farmers rise before dawn and work long after the light begins to fade. Their lives are shaped by the seasons, the land, and the quiet responsibility of caring for their animals.

This painting honours the strength, resilience, and dignity of the farming families who continue traditions passed down through generations. Behind every field, every weathered gate, and every herd is a story of sacrifice, perseverance, and devotion.
May we never forget the hardworking cattle farmers who help feed their communities and preserve the beautiful rural heart of England.

This painting is dedicated to the cattle farmers whose lives are built on courage, endurance, and an unwavering commitment to the land and animals in their care. Its bold reds, deep blues, and rugged marks reflect the strength, sacrifice, and determination found in farming families everywhere.

Behind every herd is a farmer who rises before dawn, works through every season, and carries forward a way of life rooted in responsibility, tradition, and heart.

“Where the Land Holds Memory”

This painting is dedicated to cattle farmers—the men and women whose lives are shaped by early mornings, changing weather, hard decisions, and an enduring responsibility to the animals and land in their care.

The deep blues speak of long nights and uncertain seasons. The fiery reds and golds carry the strength, sacrifice, and determination required to keep going. The lighter passages represent hope—the quiet promise that comes with every sunrise, every newborn calf, and every field renewed.
Cattle farming is more than an occupation. It is a heritage, a commitment, and a way of life passed from one generation to the next. This painting honours those who continue to protect that legacy with courage, humility, and heart.

Crimson Reverie

A beautiful study in passion, strength, and emotion, Crimson Reverie unfolds through rich layers of scarlet, ruby, and deep burgundy. Each textured passage carries its own energy, creating a painting that feels both powerful and quietly reflective.

The colour red has long represented courage, love, sacrifice, and the determination to keep moving forward. In this work, those emotions come together in a bold celebration of resilience and the light that continues to glow beneath the surface.
