Join award-winning guide Rachel Kolsky for 'Radicals to Revolutionaries: People Power in Whitechapel' - a fascinating walking tour in collaboration with Whitechapel Gallery⁠ and the Jewish Museum London.

We are still reminiscing on our opening last week of Two Rooms by Jewish Museum London. This is such an important new step for Jewish Museum London and we are thrilled to be able to share our collection, as well as Jewish stories, like the one that features in our temporary exhibition Legacy, with you publicly once again. We have loved seeing so many of you already coming to see these exhibitions.

We are open Sunday to Thursday, 12pm–7pm, and are located on the top floor of JW3.

Last night was the official opening of Two Rooms by Jewish Museum London.

It was a pleasure to share such an important milestone with so many friends and supporters of the Museum.

We were delighted to welcome the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, Lisa Nandy, and to announce up to £1 million of support from DCMS for Jewish Museum London. This significant investment is a powerful vote of confidence in our work and our future, and we are enormously grateful for that support.

It is also an important step on a much longer journey. Realising our ambition - to expand our reach, deepen our impact, build a truly national Jewish Museum and secure a new permanent home for Jewish Museum London - will take the support of everyone who shares our belief in the importance of Jewish stories, heritage and culture.

The opening of Two Rooms marks an exciting new chapter for the Museum as we continue our work today while building towards a new permanent home and a truly national Jewish Museum - one that takes Jewish stories, learning, collections, exhibitions and events to communities across the country.

At a time when society can often feel increasingly divided, the work of sharing Jewish stories and fostering understanding has never been more important.

Two Rooms is based on the top floor of JW3. We are now open to the public from Sunday to Thursday, 12pm–7pm. Last night was just the beginning, and we hope to welcome you back soon - whether to spend more time with the exhibitions, bring friends and family, or attend one of our upcoming events.

From ceremonial Judaica to everyday artefacts, photographs, and archival material, the objects in Tree of Life: Stories from Jewish Museum London’s Collection trace centuries of Jewish life in Britain.

Together, they tell stories of migration, resilience, creativity, belonging, and the lasting impact Jewish communities have had on the cultural, social, and political fabric of this country.

Tree of Life within Two Rooms by the Jewish Museum London opens this Thursday, 18th June at Midday.

Located on the 3rd Floor of JW3, it is the first time the permanent collection is back on display after three years.

We will be open Sunday – Thursday from 12pm until 7pm and we look forward to welcoming you.

How did one Jewish immigrant family help shape modern Britain?

From the teashops and hotels of J. Lyons & Co. to a story that encompasses migration, enterprise, resilience, and belonging, Legacy explores the remarkable history of the Salmon and Gluckstein family and their lasting impact on British life.

Drawing on Thomas Harding's book, the exhibition brings together objects from the family's private collection alongside press material from the British Library, the National Archives, other image collections, and objects from Jewish Museum London's own collection.

Opening this Thursday, 18th June at Midday. Located on the 3rd Floor of JW3.

We will be open Sunday – Thursday from 12pm until 7pm and we look forward to welcoming you.
