Thank you, Woo Jin, for taking over our stories this week.

From her studio at Cockpit Deptford to the gallery floor, Woo Jin shared the path that led to Bodily Inbetweenness.

Answering your questions, she spoke about the colours of Korean folk painting, which she keeps close but follows intuitively, letting each piece show her what it needs. She also gave a first look at her next chapter, an exhibition at the Harley Foundation in January alongside the visionary textile artist Elizabeth Allen.

The week closed with a visit from the Cockpit patrons, and we are so grateful to everyone who joined us.

Bodily Inbetweenness is about ideas forming and dissolving, and how we exist between the physical world and our innate worlds. Woo Jin invites you to take your time, sit alongside the works, and reflect on your own.

Hello! Its Woo Jin Woojin Joo here currently showing at Ruup & Form 👋🏻

This Thursday 15th October I will be taking over Ruup & Form’s space to give you a little more insight into my practice! Expect behind the scenes, introduction to ‘Bodily Inbetweenness’ themes, and a chance to ask me questions! This Frieze Week, we are handing over our Instagram to Woo Jin Joo, the artist behind Bodily Inbetweenness.

Join Woo Jin for a glimpse into her creative world, the stories behind her curious creatures and the ideas that shape her practice.

Textile Day at Ruup & Form is today.

We are delighted to be hosting workshops, talks with gallery artists and closing drinks to celebrate London Textile Month with Selvedge Magazine.

From 2pm to 6pm, with Bridget Harvey, Christopher Kelly, Katerina Knight and Barbara Long. Woo Jin Joo’s Bodily Inbetweenness is on view throughout. Drinks from 5pm.

We are happy to be back at the gallery and surrounded once again by Woo Jin Joo’s be***al beings.

Part of her solo exhibition, Bodily Inbetweenness, these imaginative creatures inhabit a world in which bodies, identities and forms remain fluid. Familiar details meet the strange and unexpected, inviting us to look more closely at what each figure might be becoming.

Last day at British Art Fair with Erin Hughes’s new series Root//Route

Day 2 at British Art Fair.

The closer you stand, the more the surface gives away. Every sheet in Root // Route was marbled or screen printed by Erin Hughes before a single cut was made, so no two greens, no two greys, repeat, all made this year, drawn from the hills and the daily routes of Mid Wales.

Come have a closer look.

Doors open today.
 Root // Route by Erin Hughes is now installed at Gallery 8, Spotlight: Contemporary, British Art Fair, Saatchi Gallery.

Artworks created from hand cut paper collages, each built from paper marbled and screen printed by hand, holding the landscapes and well travelled roads of Mid Wales. Seeing them together on the stand, the routes begin to speak to one another.

Today from 12pm to 9pm, and daily until Sunday 27 September.
