Andy Warhol is know for his use of bright colours. This interpretation of Uc***lo’s painting of St. George and the Dragon exemplifies some of Warhols best use of colour. The vibrant hues look almost neon, layered on top of each other.

For Warhol’s Renaissance series, he tasked himself with recreating these historic masterpieces, reworking the screens to produce a masterpiece of his own. This meant using multiple screens to replicate the fine details found in these intricate works.

Here’s a prime example of just that, specifically looking at the way he portrays the architectural detail of Piero della Francesca’s 15th century work.

Banksy was known to produce some of his prints in alternative colourways and release them as small runs of AP’s, most noteabley ‘Girl With Balloon’ in dark pink, light pink, purple and gold. Here’s a wonderful pink version of his, ordinarily, blue ‘Jack & Jill’ (Police Kids). Just 22 of these were released to the public.
