We are thrilled to present ‘Crowds’, opening November 14th at our Madrid gallery. This group exhibition features 22 artists, including renowned names such as Marc Chagall, Alexander Calder, Jean Dubuffet, Antonio Saura, Juan Genovés, and Thomas Dillon. ‘Crowds’ explores the role of the individual within mass culture and society, the impact of groupthink, and the nature of individual identity as an active presence within a collective environment.

‘What was the most difficult artwork for you to part with, and why?’

The most difficult artwork to part with was a painting by Francis Bacon. In fact Bacon is my favourite artist, and I was totally captivated by this work that we had in the Singapore gallery many years ago. I remember spending some time each day admiring this painting and trying to understand how such a traumatic expression could generate so much peace and calm while looking at it.
