Small Wonder Records - the exhibition Celebrating Small Wonder Records, a label & shop located on Hoe Street, Walthamstow between 1975-83.

In 2016 we put on an exhibition celebrating the seminal label & shop, Small Wonder Records.
'Punk Waltham Forest was commissioned by the London Borough of Waltham Forest and part-funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

On 17 June 1976 played Walthamstow Assembly Hall and marked a turning point for Small Wonder Records boss Pete Stennett.
Around 25 people are rumoured to have attended, Steve Godfrey from The Zeros was there with his friend Ian McCann.

“We were very sad to hear that Liquid Les Denham has passed away.
We fondly remember Les as the original drummer in our band, Punishment of Luxury.
He had a unique way of drumming which is evident on that first recording of ‘Puppet Life’ which came out on Small Wonder Records.
The band would like to send their condolences to family and friends”. - Punishment of Luxury
