Becconsall is a Community Interest Company (CIC), which means we are independently operated and do not receive regular funding from government or local authorities.
We are supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and the Key Fund, with most of our income coming from our supporters - people like you.

Help us to build a new Nissen hut.
Nissen Huts are prefabricated steel buildings that were widely used during both World Wars for accommodation, storage, training and other essential purposes.
The completed building will help us welcome more people throughout the year, whatever the weather, and make Becconsall more accessible and attractive to a wider range of visitors.

We’re almost there, but we still need your help!

We have planning permission and have already purchased the Nissen Hut kit. Thanks to funding from the Duchy of Lancaster Fund, the groundworks and foundation slab are now complete and our team of amazing volunteers are currently busy erecting the building.

We now need to raise £5,000 to complete the fit-out, including installing electricity, so the building can open and begin serving our community.

We never knew you were so close!

It's something we hear from visitors... time and time again!

The 20 acre heritage park & living museum is hidden away in Hesketh Bank, Lancashire 👀Only 20 minutes from Southport and less than 1 hour from Liverpool, Preston & Manchester.

We're open this weekend, including Bank Holiday Monday, so come along for a walk in the park and treat yourself to a hot drink and snacks.

There's always something to do at Becconsall.

Tuesday 1st September - Bracelet making. Get creative with a choice of beads and charms.

Saturday 5th September - Laydbirds, Butterflies, Bees in association with The Sunshine Club Southport.

Limited places for both events so book early to avoid missing out.

Becconsall’s Fox woodland workshop was another great day with the children. Learning can be fun!

Starting with a woodland walk, spotting fox burrows and food along the trail, making it back for our indoor crafts before the rain ☔️

Sorry we owe you an apology!
We'd like to apologise for our Vehicle Fair on Sunday.

We didn't expect so many amazing vehicles. There were far too many classic cars, motorbikes, trucks and race cars, to show on one post!
If we'd known, we would have made sure you heard about the event sooner and didn't miss out on the fabulous day. Even the sun decided to come out and join us.

A huge thank you to everyone that gave up their time to bring their pride and joy along to Becconsall, some travelling from across the country. We hope you will join us at our next event.

Thank you to the hundreds of visitors that came along and for your lovely feedback.

Join our bracelet making workshop at Becconsall Heritage Park for children Tuesday 1st September, 10.00am to 1.00pm.

Fun workshop to make bracelets with lots of different beads to choose from.

Create names, add charms, teddy bears, using different colours on elastic.

Run around time outside with a drink and snack.

Guided crafts including fox masks and fox pencil holder.
