Our next Fish & Chip Train is on Saturday, 12th September.

It is an easy group night out, a perfect date night, or just something different to do on a late summer Saturday evening.

We’ve taken the hassle out of the evening:

The miniature railway will be running today. Lineside views of the main train and unlimited rides on both.

The 03 is in service all day today. Drivers eye views available in the front of the Gresley coach with the guard.

Thank you to everyone who came today. Great to see so many people on the trains, food, cab rides and views.

We are back tomorrow with our 03 in service alongside the Colne Valley Miniature Railway.

Open from 10:30 this morning. Almost 9000 horsepower available today.

Scones are baked, AC is on, bacon is being readied.

The preparations are done, the buffet is stocked. The first job for the morning is to bake the scones and then start the powercars.

We've got air conditioned first class open to all, hot and cold food, cakes, drinks, charging sockets, colouring in, cab rides and more.

We also have Andy Coward joining us all day hosting a book signing for his new book ‘HST in the Fifth Decade’, he will be right next to the buffet.

The Colne Valley Miniature Railway will be open too and this will offer some great views of the main set as the run parallel and also offer views of 43071

If you are joining us tomorrow, here is the timetable and cab ride information.

👉 The main set (2+3) and the EMR back-to-back (2+0) will pass each other at Nunnery.
👉 The 2+0 will depart platform 2; the main set will run from platform 1.
👉 The 2+0 will not travel towards Drawell.

Cab rides on the main set will be in 43165, and you will travel past the 2+0 at Nunnery. The 2+0 will be waiting in Nunnery Loop, and you will pass it non-stop before travelling back.

If you ride in 43073, you will see the set passing the ex-Wrabness signal box at Nunnery and then watch it power its way back towards Hedingham. You will then follow it back to Hedingham.

If you ride in 43082, you will see the set pass you in Nunnery Loop before it heads back.
