📚 A fascinating Friday evening at The Hawthorns Braintree. We welcomed guest speaker Gordon Brown from the Earls Colne Heritage Museum who gave an insightful talk on the SAS in wartime Essex.

Residents thoroughly enjoyed learning about the vital role Essex played during World War II and hearing the remarkable stories of courage, strategy, and sacrifice from this elite regiment. Thank you, Gordon, for such an engaging and informative presentation.

The Colouring Booklet will be available from the museum from Wednesday. If you missed buying one at The Four Colnes Show (which by the way was excellent, many thanks to FCHS, ECRC and Percival's for all the work they put in to make the show a success), come and get one, only £1.00. Buy some for Christmas stocking fillers, some for your Granny? The Village Trail Maps will also be on sale, £2.50 each of both for £4.00. 😃

ECHM has had a great day at The Four Colnes Show. We've met so many people today and had so many conversations! Thank you everyone that visited the stall and purchased a Village Trail Map, Colouring Book, Out and About Ticket (for next week's walk), or a Soft Toy Tombola ticket! We really appreciate your support. Come and visit us at the Museum in a Water Tower until the end of September on Wednesdays and weekends. We'd love to see you! 😁
