"Thank you for a lovely day, the staff were so friendly and it's been a great day out for the kids, we will be coming back"

We were so pleased to read this on one of our feedback forms this week. It's been so lovely to see people enjoying the museum during the summer holidays.

We had some particularly cute visitors to the museum today!

All of these pups are going to be guide dogs in training soon and are being raised by volunteers to get them ready. They get taken to experience lots of different environments to help prepare them and today was a visit to the Museum. The differing light levels, noises, lifts and visitors were all helpful for their learning.

Amazing work by the Guide Dogs UK volunteers (and we all enjoyed a dog cuddle or two!)๐Ÿ˜

This wooden Tallyman's booth is a very important piece of history from the working life of the docks. The tallyman would sit in this booth and keep an accurate record of goods loaded on and off the boats. The booth collapses and could be easily moved around from one boat to another.
