Happy Halloween from all of us here at SWE! ๐
As the leaves turn and the nights grow longer, weโre raising a dram to the spookiest night of the year. Whether you're brewing up a wicked cocktail or enjoying a neat pour by the fire, we hope you have a terrifyingly wonderful evening.
Tell us what dram will be quenching your thirst tonight? ๐ง
Stay safe, enjoy responsibly, and may your night be filled with treats (and maybe a trick or two)! ๐๐ท๏ธ

Today is International Day of Sign Languages! ๐
To celebrate this we would like to highlight again our audio-visual handsets which now help us deliver our new tour experience in both British Sign Language (BSL) and American Sign Language (ASL). We are also excited to now offer International Sign and seven further languages are available in subtitles.
Thanks again goes to @deafaction for working with us on this project.
Have you used our audio-visual handsets? ๐ฑ

We have the privilege here at SWE to have Richard Paterson OBE, Master Blender and Sandy Hyslop, Director of Blending and Inventory at Chivas Brothers as non-executive directors on our board. They, along with other key industry personnel, are frequent visitors to us up on Castlehill, we like to think of ourselves as the whisky industryโs Edinburgh โhome from homeโ, and we are very lucky that our staff have the opportunity to meet and learn from our distillers, during their careers at SWE.
We thought weโd ask Sandy and Richard a few questions the last time they were in. Have a listen to them, along with Dave McCabe, Chief Distiller from Irish Distillers, David Stewart MBE, Honorary Ambassador to The Balvenie, and Gordon Motion, Master Whisky Maker at Highland Park as they discuss a few questions we put to them including:
๐ฅ Where is the most unusual place you have enjoyed a dram?
๐ฅ What advice would you give to someone hoping to join the whisky industry?
Richard also reflects on his 19 years of being a board member here at SWE.
Itโs well worth a listen!
And remember to keep an eye on our channels where you will find more Q+Aโs with our friends from the whisky industry in coming weeks and months!
Our sell-out Tasting Tales experience is perfect for whisky lovers. ๐ฅ Enjoy four specially selected drams paired with canapรฉ sized starter, while hearing the stories of the distilleries from our senior whisky experts.

Itโs Sign Language Week (18-24 March) and we are thrilled to be working with Deaf Action who are assisting us in translating our new tour areas into British and American Sign Language. They have also been supporting us in an exciting new project which we cannot wait to share with you soon.
