🧡πŸŽ₯ We're delighted to be welcoming Newburgh Handloom Weavers for a special film screening of 'Celebrating Jimmy Hutchison'.

Usually found in a small weaving shed just along the Tay, Jimmy Hutchison is a handloom weaver alongside being one of Scotland’s most invaluable tradition bearers, as a bi-lingual Scots and Gaelic singer.

Part of TRACS - Traditional Arts and Culture Scotland's , this documentary film asks how songs shape the life of the person who sings them, through exploring Jimmy’s life and work 🧢

This screening in our Dundee mill will include a Q&A, with Jimmy joined by Erika Douglas; a fellow singer and handloom weaver. Whether you're interested in textile heritage, Scottish culture, Gaelic, weaving, or song, this film screening is not to be missed.
