ARTIST FEATURE ✨

Sarah Knight is a London based artist, working with a duality of practice, between painting and printmaking; allowing each side to inform and inspire the other.

Throughout both sides of her practice is a strong sense of line, of form, of attention to surface and to texture, a soft subtle use of colour and a continued sense of capturing the beauty of the natural world.

Sarah’s piece “Waterways V” was selected and is currently on show down at the gallery in our Open Call Exhibition – lucky locals can catch it all through the weekend!

Happy Monday Artists!

We thought we’d share a few artist opportunities to get your week kicked off right!

1. The Ingram Prize

The Ingram Prize is an annual purchase prize open to visual artists who are within five years of graduation from a UK-based art school. This prize for contemporary artists was established to celebrate and support artists at the beginning of their professional careers, recognising the vital importance of practical support in these early years.

Deadline: Tuesday 25 August
Entry: Free

2. Bath Open Art Prize 2026

The Bath Open Art Prize welcomes Visual Artists at any stage of their career, from across the globe. All genres and mediums considered. Selected works will be exhibited at 44AD artspace in Bath, with cash and solo exhibition prizes.

Deadline: Sunday 13 September
Entry: £22

3. The Sixteen Gallery Postcard Show

The Postcard Show invites artists of all levels and experience to take part in making a postcard size artwork. The postcards are all 6 x 4 inch wooden boards each costing £10. All of the artworks created are priced at £50, with £5 going to charity and the rest going back to the artist if the work is sold. Each piece is displayed anonymously so buyers don’t know who’s work is who’s until they buy it.

Find out more on the Sixteen Gallery Website, and purchase boards from the gallery 14 – 26 August!

Deadline: Thursday 8 October
Entry: £10 per board

4. Royal Institute of Oil Painters

Artists are invited to submit work for exhibition alongside members of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters at the ROI Annual Exhibition at Mall Galleries. There is a special theme each year, for 2026, artists are encouraged to contribute a work on the theme ‘Winter Rituals’.

Deadline: Friday 9 October
Entry: £22

Fresh. New. Work. 🌿

There’s nothing better than seeing new work arrive on the site — except perhaps seeing how beautifully it all comes together as a collection.

We noticed several artists recently uploading multiple new pieces, so we’ve brought them together to feature these new additions side by side.

ARTIST FEATURE ✨

Daisy Embury is a painter working in oils creating delicate and detailed portraits of flora. Her works reflect the beauty and fragility of the natural world and our connection to it with a focus on often over looked details.

Currently, her practice is rooted in the relationship between humans and nature. Through botanicals, she reflects personal and shared human experiences and uses her pieces to hold a mirror to viewers, encouraging them to see their own beauty, fragility and humanity.

Find out more and see more of Daisy’s work at the link in our bio 👉

This Golden Summer

A summer-felt collection courtesy of this creative collective.

Days of endless sunshine, of blue skies, heat and the light – the boost of serotonin, the mood lifter our brains all crave.

Days of nostalgia, of the smell of grass, of suntan lotion, of bbq, the sharp of ice lollies; the air tight and swollen with sun.

Feel the warmth on your skin, shade the light in your eyes, and swipe through for all the summer feels.
