Happy & Glorious

Happy & Glorious Beautiful design-led gifts & products for the home, all lovingly and exclusively created in Britain. Now that's cause for a celebration! x

We are a small family-run company, lucky enough to be based in Kent, with a shop in Burgate, Canterbury. Set up in the Jubilee year, Happy & Glorious brings you beautiful gifts and products for your home, with a thoroughly British twist. We were inspired by Mary Portas and her challenge to re-ignite the British manufacturing industry. There are many wonderful things that we still need to import fr

om around the world. But if we can create or grow it here, it's nice to keep it local. All of our products are made in the UK, to support British manufacturing, applaud British talent, and keep our carbon footprint to a minimum. The designers and makers of these lovely things have been paid a fair wage for their hard work.

The purest, purest joy is sharing a room with these beautifully bonkers people and those that love them. Bellowhead were spectacular tonight. We danced, we shouted, we sang, we jumped up and down in a most unedifying fashion. It was marvellous. And an extra treat to see perform too!

This joyful little window has been under wraps until today, as it was a surprise, inspired by the colours of Katherine's wedding which is taking place this weekend. Ami and I cannot WAIT to celebrate with her and Dan, her husband-to-be!

Katherine came to work with me in 2021 when my shop was in Cranbrook, and then came to help me out in Canterbury 'for a while'. Nearly two years later, she's still working, creating and blooming with us. How lucky we are to call her our colleague, and also our friend. Big congratulations and big love to you Ron. 🧡🩷💛

No filter needed on this spectacular photo just sent to me by Katherine and Ami. They've been creating new dried flower bouquets to fill up the shop shelves.

I'm at home today, adding marvellous new products to the website. How lucky am I that this is what I get to go into work and see tomorrow? Marvellously talented peeps. 😍

It's nearly the birthday of the marvellous - so here's this year's birthday window for him. He has a small scar from an altercation with a disgruntled squirrel, which I have always thought would be an excellent superhero origin story. He's my hero anyway. 💜❤️

The light was absolutely perfect yesterday afternoon (the benefits of a north facing shop window) so I took a few new photos of our handmade soaps.

I've been selling Sarah's gorgeous soaps for nearly 11 years, and we've grown our businesses alongside each other in that time, becoming good friends, despite the fact that we have never met!

I love these soaps so much. Olive oil, coconut oil and glycerine give them their rich and bubbly lather, and pure essential oils bring the most beautiful fragrances. It's rare for a customer to come into the shop and not buy one - they make perfect presents or treats for yourself. (Pop them in drawers until you are ready to use them and they will make your clothes smell lovely.)

If your online order this week contains a Clovelly soap, we'll pop in a 30g mini soap in a different fragrance for you to try for free. You don't have to do anything, just place an order by midnight on Sunday 11th August to get yours!
