It's a day for super snuggles today! It's been so chilly in Canterbury today, but the sky has been blue and everyone has been very jolly!
Today I am talking about our scrumptious @melintregwynt blankets. Made in Wales, the company has been weaving since 1912, and uses lambswool to create their traditional and modern patterns.
Heirlooms of the future, we've had people tell us that they still have their grandparents' Tregwynt throw, and that it is still going strong after 50 years.

We've had some gift advent calendars to wrap today and I wanted to show you how pretty they look! Each one contains 24 individually wrapped gifts from pampering products and home fragrance to yummy chocolate, decorations and lovely gifts, all made in Britain.
You have until 24th November to order yours, to give us time to wrap and post them, though if you are local to Canterbury we can take orders up to 28th November. We can post directly as we are doing with this lovely one that we wrapped today, and if you've had one before, we'll make sure that there are lots of different products in there compared to your last one.

Today I'm showing you our fabulous collection of @theclovellysoapcompany soaps and candles! All made in the picturesque village of Clovelly in Devon, we have gorgeous fragrances like Rosemary & Orange, Lavender & Lemongrass and Lavender, Patchouli & Frankincense. They are all made with traditional methods and natural ingredients and make everything smell amazing!

It's Spooky Saturday in Canterbury tomorrow, and we're incredibly excited to be involved (if only for the opportunity for fancy dress!)
With a zombie run, spooky story telling, Halloween trails and trick or treats, there's heaps going on in the city for the whole family to enjoy. You can even meet the Ghostbusters!
We are taking part in a Spooky Selfie Stop competition. Float down the haunted trail of Canterbury’s Cathedral Quarter - Burgate, the Buttermarket and Sun Street - looking out for the poster in participating businesses windows. Take your scariest selfie outside the business and upload it to Instagram. In less than two weeks it will be our Festive Shop & Craft event, so we are also giddy for that! Drinks, nibbles, a discount on all purchases, a goody bag when you spend £15 or more and a free mini creative workshop. Today I'm chatting about our glorious collection of super-soft merino woollen scarves and gloves! We've got two ranges this year, to give you plenty of choice to snuggle up in.
We have a collection of felted merino pintuck scarves in a rainbow of colours to suit all complexions, from spectacular fuchsia purple and joyful burnt orange, through to the softer shades of denim blue and leaf green if you prefer something a bit more subtle. We have wristwarmer gloves in even more colours, each with a jolly contrasting trim. These are all made in London, and are brilliant for computer users and artists, or even just peeps that need to use their phone without the irritation of gloves on/gloves off!
To add to this classic collection, we have a brand new range of Fairisle scarves and gloves too! Here I am talking about fragrance in a slightly strange but very enthusiastic way!Our home fragrance department is looking and smelling marvellous! We've got room diffusers that last for up to six months, soy wax candles that burn cleanly for 40+ hours, tealights in recyclable glass pots and pillow sprays too. Get your home smelling marvellous for autumn!
Today I wanted to chat about the marvellous sustainability of our dried flower loveliness! Firstly, the flowers are grown by Mama T in Staplehurst, which is about 30 miles away from Canterbury. We bring them over by train in boxes, and get lots of smiles on the way!
We start with our largest bouquets with the longest stems. Katherine and Ami create these as I am not quite there yet, but they stand up independently and would look great in a fireplace or as a centrepiece.
We create our medium bouquets next, which are wrapped in tissue and kraft paper and tied with string. If we have any shorter stems, or if some break along the way, we create posies or tiny posies (we call them Tiny Tims) and now we have buttonholes too.
If stems break completely, we then use them for wreaths, hairbands and garlands, and finally, the seeds that get scattered over the desk get saved for sowing next year! Mini posies and medium bouquets are available on our website, but do DM if you are looking for something specific.
