Please celebrate with us the outstanding achievement in the historical field of students Ceyhan Topal (1st prize, photographed) and Matthew Marshall (2nd prize). Congratulations! 🥳

These University of Kent students demonstrated excellence during their academic studies, and were awarded the Dr. Teddy Church Bursary prize. The award was established in memory of Teddy Church, a dedicated GP and Freemason, whose lifelong passion for Kentish history, genealogy and heraldry led him to build an exceptional collection. His family later bequeathed this collection to the Kent Masonic Museum and Library Trust for the benefit of future generations.

Once again Kent Museum of Freemasonry joined Heritage Open Days -England's largest festival of history and culture- to bring our superb masonic artefacts close to visitors.
This year we're putting on a new exhibition that explores the values and traditions of freemasonry and we'll open our doors to curious minds.🧐

What a day we had! During this year Canterbury's Medieval Pageant and Trail we welcomed over 700 visitors, mostly young and curious -our record-breaking number! 🥳🥳

We opened our Temple doors to Ashford Scouts who had great fun practising freemasonry ceremonies, making an exhibition, and visiting our museum!👇see lovely photo below!

Thank you to everyone who visited us, to our amazing volunteers, and to those who were behind the scenes of Canterbury's Medieval mayhem. Can't wait to take part again next year!

Yesterday, 4th July, we took part in Canterbury's Medieval Pageant and Trail. Some 730 visitors came to the Museum to get their programmes stamped - and many of them had balloon models made by "Lord Geoffrey" and/or their faces painted by Tiny tots facepainting. See some of the face painting result 😀
