Our Book of the Week this week is... Slow Horses by Mick Herron!⭐📖

Some of you may be fans of the hit TV show adaptation starring Gary Oldman but may not know it's actually based on a series of books! With the new series recently available to watch, what better time to see how to books compare to the TV show?

Slow Horses, which is the first in the series, follows group of disgraced MI5 intelligence officers who have messed up their careers and been relegated to a dead-end administrative purgatory known as Slough House. When they stumble upon a murder and kidnapping plot, they see an opportunity to redeem themselves and get back into the action they so desperately desire. Perfect for any fans of spy novels or thrillers!

Borrow or reserve a copy from your local library and get stuck in!📚

This week we are spotlighting an object that may be a favourite for a lot of our visitors but is also easy to miss at first glance because it's right above your heads!🦕✨

This is a plaster cast of a real Tuojiangosaurus skeleton. We like to call him Jango for short!

Tuojiangosaurus were first discovered in 1977 in China and date back to the Jurassic Period - around 150 million years ago! It is closely related to another dinosaur species you have probably heard of - the Stegosaurus. They have similar protective back plates and a spikey tail.

Have you spotted this object before above your head in the Museum Gift Shop? Let us know if Jango is one of your favourite objects at the Museum!🏛️
