Bolton Steam Museum is one of the most important collections of stationary steam engines in the UK

The Museum is open to the public on Wednesdays and Sundays and holds regular steaming days during the year when the entire collection, now consisting of over 30 engines can be seen working in steam. We also provide private viewing and steam days by appointment.

To help us celebrate our Diamond Jubilee. We would like to thank all our visitors over the Bank Holiday Weekend, we had over 500 of you. We would also like to offer our grateful thanks to the Farnworth & Walkden Brass Band for the wonderful renditions of popular music that befitted the occasion. On a slightly sadder note, Margaret, the lady who runs our book stall, retired due to ill health. She ran this for over 12 years and was well known amongst our regular visitors.......she will be sorely missed. Two other members are stepping into the job.
The photo shows the band doing their stuff.
Once again many thanks for your support.
