Emerge Workshop: The ‘Bath Patchwork Project ’26'
📍Emerge, Bath Spa University, Bath, BA1 5SF
🗓️Tuesday 7th July 2026
✨A patchwork of people and place✨
The ‘Bath Patchwork Project ’26', curated the Bath Artist Studios, in partnership with The American Museum, Bath, encourages residents of Bath to share their thoughts, hopes and dreams about the city, in written form, whist also hand-stitching their signature on a fabric square, both elements of which will be incorporated into a huge patchworked textile artwork, to be displayed firstly at the AM&G and then onto various civic centres in Bath. Emerge has been invited to be part of its' creation.
Emerge artists are invited to collaborate on this collective artwork that will act as a textile-based time capsule- gathering shared stories, identities, and connections across the city at this moment in time. Take a look at our Instagram:

30 Years of Bath Artists' Studios - a collaborative exhibition with Art at the Heart of the RUH is now on display in the Central Corridor (B4 - B8).

Celebrating three decades of artistic practice, Bath Artists’ Studios presents a special anniversary exhibition at the Royal United Hospital. For 30 years, the studios have supported a vibrant community of artists, makers, teachers and creatives, fostering experimentation, collaboration and public engagement in Bath.

This exhibition brings together work by studio holders, reflecting the diversity of practices at Bath Artists’ Studios, ranging from painting and sculpture to photography, textiles and mixed media.

Presented within the unique setting of the Royal United Hospital, the exhibition aims to offer moments of reflection and inspiration for patients, staff and visitors. It celebrates not only the achievements of the past 30 years, but also the ongoing role of art in supporting wellbeing and enhancing everyday environments through creativity.

Bath Artists’ Studios is a vital space for artistic development, and this exhibition marks an important milestone in its history.
