We need your vote!

Do you know the story of the Alton dodo? This summer our volunteers created a model dodo for Alton Arts Festival. Over the next few months they will be sharing more about a very special gift of dodo bones made in the 1860's to William Curtis, founder of the Curtis Museum.

First up, we need you to help us choose a name for our model dodo and museum guide who will be helping us tell you all about local natural history and nature conservation! Over 80 names were suggested by the public this summer, tell us your favourite here! https://forms.office.com/e/0yzu0Tuxqt

Drop by to see our Alton Dodo for the Alton Arts Festival trail, Street Stories. The dodo has been beautifully made by our volunteers, with a special shout out to everyone who helped cut out the feathers, and to Brenda who has done all the work of upholstering and sewing them on.

He will feature later today on the Street Stories Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/streetstoriesalton/?locale=zh_CN&hl=ar

Also look out for the brilliant cross-stitch sets made by Barbara now on sale from here or the Allen Gallery shop.

Dodo will be around the museum through the summer holidays as part of our animal trail - do drop in to meet him!
