🛠️ ALUMINIUM, TRANSFERS & GHOSTLY PRESENCES — workshop recap🛠️

Last Friday, more than 20 artists and creatives came together at ESPRONCEDA for a day of experimentation, collaboration and collective creation.

Led by Guillermo Del Valle and organised by ESPRONCEDA together with our European partner Craftwork 4.0 ALL, this workshop formed part of the official Satellite Events Programme of the New European Bauhaus Festival 2026.

✨ We are delighted to announce that the collective artwork created during the workshop will be presented at the ESPRONCEDA CRAFT Festival (2–4 December 2026), as part of the 30th anniversary celebration of Drap-Art.

A special thank you to Guillermo and to all the artists and participants whose creativity and energy made this experience possible.

Més de 20 artistes i creatius es van reunir a ESPRONCEDA per compartir una jornada de creativitat, experimentació i creació col·lectiva, liderada per Guillermo Del Valle.

Aquest workshop, organitzat amb el nostre soci europeu Craftwork 4.0 ALL, va formar part dels Esdeveniments Satèl·lit oficials del New European Bauhaus Festival 2026.

✨ L’obra col·lectiva creada durant la jornada es presentarà a l’ESPRONCEDA CRAFT Festival (2–4 desembre 2026), dins de la celebració del 30è aniversari de Drap-Art.

📌 Visita del Dr. Wolfram Weimer a ESPRONCEDA

Aquesta setmana hem tingut el privilegi de rebre a ESPRONCEDA Institute of Art & Culture de Barcelona el Dr. Wolfram Weimer, Ministre d’Estat i Comissionat del Govern Federal Alemany per a la Cultura i els Mitjans de Comunicació, juntament amb la seva delegació.

Ha estat una trobada inspiradora per compartir visions sobre cultura, digitalització i el futur de la creació artística.

La digitalitat no és només una eina. És un nou llenguatge cultural.

També volem agrair al Consolat General d’Alemanya a Barcelona, especialment a Patrick Heinz, vicecònsol general, per impulsar aquestes valuoses converses.

Gairebé al mateix temps, vam tenir el plaer de rebre una delegació japonesa de STYLY i Nobuta Group, amb qui continuem desenvolupant noves col·laboracions per a IMMENSIVA 2026 i la futura IMMENSIVA XR Academy.

📌 Visit of Dr. Wolfram Weimer at ESPRONCEDA

This week, we had the privilege of welcoming Dr. Wolfram Weimer, German Minister of State and Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, together with his delegation, to ESPRONCEDA Institute of Art & Culture in Barcelona.

It was an inspiring exchange on culture, digitalisation and the future of artistic creation.

Digitality is not only a tool. It is a new cultural language.

We would also like to thank the German Consulate General in Barcelona, especially Deputy Consul General Patrick Heinz, for making these valuable conversations possible.

At the same time, we were delighted to welcome a Japanese delegation from STYLY and the Nobuta Group as we continue developing new collaborations around IMMENSIVA 2026 and the future IMMENSIVA XR Academy.

Exciting times ahead for digital culture and for ESPRONCEDA.

🌿 DESPLAZADOS II - opening & Colloquium

🦆 It has been a pleasure to host the opening of DESPLAZADOS II, the exhibition by .valle , and the Colloquium that took place yesterday at ESPRONCEDA Institute of Art & Culture.

Presented in collaboration with the , it was a wonderful opportunity for us all to reflect on the protection of the Llobregat Delta and its ecosystems, and the urgent need to imagine more sustainable and respectful models of development.

Special thanks to the experts who participated in this dialogue, especially Ariadna Cotén from , Cristina Sánchez from and Jose García Moreno from .depana .

🦆 Ha sigut un plaer celebrar la inauguració de DESPLAZADOS II, l'exposició de Guillermo Del Valle, i el col·loqui que va tindre lloc ahir en ESPRONCEDA Institute of Art & Culture.

Presentada en col·laboració amb l'associació Artesostenible, va ser una oportunitat meravellosa perquè tots reflexionàrem sobre la protecció del delta del Llobregat i els seus ecosistemes, i sobre la urgent necessitat d'imaginar models de desenvolupament més sostenibles i respectuosos.

Un agraïment especial als experts que van participar en aquest diàleg, especialment a Ariadna Cotén de Zeroport, Cristina Sánchez de SEO birdlife i José García Moreno de Depana.

✨ What a journey it has been! ✨

Over the last two years, ECHO has brought together young people, artists, researchers and organisations from across Europe to explore some of today’s most pressing challenges — digitalisation, climate change, biodiversity, migration and democracy.

From the ECHO Academy in Barcelona in March 2025 to the development of participants’ campaigns, three public ECHO events and REVERB at ESPRONCEDA, we have witnessed ideas transform into conversations, experiences and actions.

On May 26th, this journey came full circle at the ECHO Final Symposium in Amsterdam, where participants from the five academies, partners and experts gathered to reflect on the project and discuss “Who Writes Europe’s Rules?” — exploring how lobbying shapes European legislation and whose interests are represented in EU decision-making.

We were especially proud to see Bertille Gamichon, participant of the Barcelona Academy, presenting her campaign and sharing the impact that ECHO has had on her professional journey 🌱

Beyond the symposium itself, it was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with partners, meet participants from the other academies and celebrate everything that has been achieved together.

A huge thank you to DEMO Foundation, all project partners, speakers and participants who made this journey possible 💛

The project may be coming to an end, but the conversations, collaborations and friendships continue.

🎛️ THE FUZZY SHOW — «Samples» 🎛️

ESPRONCEDA – Institute of Art & Culture presents The Fuzzy Show, an immersive sound and interactive installation by Swiss artist Bastien Bron, known as .

Samples transforms the exhibition space into a collective musical instrument. Large mixed-media panels representing sound waveforms activate sounds as visitors approach — generating an ever-evolving musical composition. No screens, no visible technology. The interface is the human body.

The artist will be present throughout the exhibition to accompany and activate the work alongside the public.

Samples transforma l'espai expositiu en un instrument musical col·lectiu. 🌿 Desplazados II - Colloquium

ESPRONCEDA – Institute of Art & Culture and Arte Sostenible Association invite you to Desplazados II, a project by Guillermo del Valle exploring the forced displacement of birdlife from the Llobregat Delta, and the fragile balance between territory, infrastructure, and coexistence.

The works invite viewers to reflect on biodiversity loss, the fragility of wetlands, and the urgent need to imagine more sustainable and respectful models of development.

As part of the exhibition, we are hosting a public colloquium bringing together artists, environmental activists, and organisations working on the protection of the Llobregat Delta and its ecosystems: , and .

🌿 Desplazados II - Col·loqui

ESPRONCEDA – Institute of Art & Culture i Arte Sostenible Asociacio us conviden a Desplazados II, un projecte de Guillermo del Valle que explora el desplazament forçat de l’avifauna del Delta del Llobregat i el fràgil equilibri entre territori, infraestructura i convivència.

🎨 FROM PIGMENT TO WORK — Recap 🎨

Last Friday we gathered at ESPRONCEDA for a hands-on mentorship workshop with , as part of the European project Hands Across Generations (H.A.G.).

Participants returned to the origins of painting — mixing powder pigments by hand, creating their own colours from scratch using acrylic medium. A slow, tactile and process-oriented practice rooted in historical craft knowledge.

More than a class, it was a space for exchange and shared making: where technique, memory and contemporary practice came together across generations.

Part of the H.A.G. series of intergenerational mentorship workshops implemented by ESPRONCEDA as the Spanish partner of the Erasmus+ project Hands Across Generations. Stay tuned — more workshops, events and news coming soon.

🎨 FROM PIGMENT TO WORK — Recap 🎨

El viernes pasado nos reunimos en ESPRONCEDA para un taller de mentoría práctica con , en el marco del proyecto europeo Hands Across Generations (H.A.G.).

Los participantes volvieron a los orígenes de la pintura — mezclando pigmentos en polvo a mano, creando sus propios colores desde cero con médium acrílico. Una práctica lenta, táctil y centrada en el proceso, arraigada en el conocimiento histórico de la artesanía.

Más que una clase, fue un espacio de intercambio y creación compartida: donde la técnica, la memoria y la práctica contemporánea se encontraron entre generaciones.

Parte de la serie de talleres de mentoría intergeneracional de H.A.G., implementados por ESPRONCEDA como socio español del proyecto Erasmus+ Hands Across Generations.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Conexión, the solo exhibition by at ESPRONCEDA.

The experience unfolded across two special moments: a pre-opening concert on May 10th, where cellist performed Gaspar Cassadó’s Suite for solo cello in dialogue with the paintings — creating a synesthetic exchange between sound and image. And a performative opening on May 14th, where Clara herself played behind a translucent curtain, weaving music and painting into a shared sensory space.
Conexión explored the deep relationship between sound and image — where painting becomes a space to translate musical experience into colour, rhythm and atmosphere. A true connection between disciplines, senses and people.

Presented within NEB & Inclusió, an ESPRONCEDA initiative in the context of the New European Bauhaus, in collaboration with the German Consulate General in Barcelona

Gràcies a tothom qui va ser amb nosaltres a Conexión, l’exposició individual de a ESPRONCEDA.
L’experiència es va desplegar en dos moments especials: el concert del 10 de maig, on el violoncel·lista va interpretar la Suite per a violoncel sol de Gaspar Cassadó en diàleg amb les pintures — creant un intercanvi sinestèsic entre so i imatge. I la inauguració performativa del 14 de maig, on la mateixa Clara va tocar darrere d’un teló translúcid, entrellacant música i pintura en un espai sensorial compartit.
Conexión va explorar la profunda relació entre el so i la imatge — on la pintura esdevé un espai per a traduir l’experiència musical en color, ritme i atmosfera. Una connexió real entre disciplines, sentits i persones.
