🤖 SPECULATIVE FUTURES: ROBOTIC MEDITATION

What kind of future are we creating, and what role will technology play in shaping it?

An immersive robotic installation by Argentine artist-engineer Joaquín Fargas. Solar-powered robots perform a slow, meditative choreography, turning towards the Sun—the source of energy that sustains them. Through this poetic encounter between technology and nature, Fargas invites us to reflect on our relationship with machines and imagine futures shaped by robotics, AI and new forms of coexistence.

Opening night includes a special music intervention by Yiflauki, a dialogue between robotic movement, sound and collective experience.

CAT - Quin tipus de futur estem creant, i quin paper hi jugarà la tecnologia?

Una instal·lació robòtica immersiva de l'artista-enginyer argentí Joaquín Fargas. Robots alimentats amb energia solar realitzen una coreografia lenta i meditativa, girant-se cap al Sol —la font d'energia que els sosté. A través d'aquesta trobada poètica entre tecnologia i natura, Fargas ens convida a reflexionar sobre la nostra relació amb les màquines i imaginar futurs marcats per la robòtica, la IA i noves formes de coexistència.

La nit d'inauguració inclourà una intervenció musical especial de Yiflauki, un diàleg entre moviment robòtic, so i experiència col·lectiva.

Circular Craft + 3D Printing 🌱🖨️

Last week we brought artisans, designers and makers together — jewellery, textile, ceramics, glass, architecture and digital art — for a day of hands-on experimentation with 3D printing.

From mapping their own waste and material sourcing, to reimagining broken glassware, offcuts and biomaterials as new ideas, the group closed the day by printing one connector piece — a small object built from everyone’s proposals.
This session is part of Constellation Labs, our new space for connecting Catalonia’s creative and technical communities around emerging tools.
Huge thanks to everyone who joined us and brought such generous energy to the room 💛

Circular Craft + 3D Printing 🌱🖨️

La setmana passada vam reunir artesans, dissenyadors i creadors — joieria, tèxtil, ceràmica, vidre, arquitectura i art digital — per a un dia d’experimentació pràctica amb impressió 3D.

Des de mapejar els seus propis residus i l’origen dels materials, fins a repensar vidre trencat, retalls i biomaterials com a noves idees, el grup va tancar el dia imprimint una única peça connectora — un petit objecte construït a partir de totes les propostes.

Aquesta sessió forma part de Constellation Labs, el nostre nou espai per connectar les comunitats creatives i tècniques de Catalunya al voltant d’eines emergents.

✨INSIDE-ACT MOBILITY MEETING ✨

Last month we travelled to the Landcommanderij Alden Biesen (Bilzen, Belgium) for the INSIDE-ACT mobility meeting — four days of exchange with partners from across Europe on the future of arts education 🎭

Together with GOLD (Omar Rashid), our Director of Emerging Technologies Kris Pilcher .ai co-delivered "Digital Workshop: What Will Be Possible Tomorrow?", a hands-on session on how immersive and digital tools are reshaping performing arts practice, and what that shift asks of artists, educators and institutions.

ESPRONCEDA leads the Performing Arts pillar of INSIDE-ACT's DASD framework, connecting our XR and digital art programming with a Europe-wide network of cultural and educational partners.

El mes passat vam viatjar a la Landcommanderij Alden Biesen (Bilzen, Bèlgica) per a la trobada de mobilitat d'INSIDE-ACT: quatre dies d'intercanvi amb socis d'arreu d'Europa sobre el futur de l'educació artística 🎭
