For Get Your Paper Here, we are pleased to present two works by French artist Maldo Nollimerg (b. 1970), who lives and works in the Pyrenees.

Working in graphite on paper, Nollimerg creates mysterious visual narratives where mythology, melancholy, and imagination intertwine. His drawings unfold as dreamlike worlds suspended between memory and fantasy, inviting viewers into richly atmospheric landscapes of reflection and wonder.

Get Your Paper Here explores the many possibilities of paper as an artistic medium, bringing together 16 national and international artists whose practices span drawing, cutting, folding, layering, marking, and more.

Looking ahead to CAN Art Fair Ibiza.

Formation Gallery is delighted to present a duo presentation featuring Birgitte Vad and Carl Krull from 25–29 June.

For the fair, Birgitte Vad presents a new body of works that continue her exploration of reflection, memory, and identity. Working across watercolour, textile elements, mirrored surfaces, and artist-made frames, Vad creates works that oscillate between image and object, surface and depth. References to fashion history, personal narratives, and collective visual culture merge into poetic compositions that invite viewers to consider how we see ourselves—and how we are seen by others.

Bringing together vulnerability and strength, intimacy and glamour, her works unfold as subtle spaces for contemplation, where reflections become both literal and metaphorical.

We are excited to bring these new works into dialogue with Carl Krull’s distinctive visual universe at this year’s fair.

Nature’s greatest wonders are often the ones we almost miss. 🦋

Dutch artist Roos Holleman (b. 1989) works between Copenhagen and the Netherlands, creating meticulously detailed pastel drawings that bring us closer to the hidden marvels of the natural world. Moth wings, skin, plant fragments, textures, and surfaces are rendered with extraordinary precision, revealing intricate patterns and structures that often escape our attention.

Her works move between scientific observation and poetic contemplation. Looking closely at a moth’s wing or the delicate texture of a surface, Holleman uncovers the remarkable complexity hidden within seemingly ordinary forms. Entire worlds unfold within the smallest fragments of nature, inviting us to slow down, look again, and rediscover a sense of wonder.

Roos Holleman is part of Get Your Paper Here! — Formation Gallery’s first annual exhibition dedicated to contemporary paper-based art.

Featuring works by Idun Baltzersen, Heiko Blankenstein, Magali Cazo, Cathrine Raben Davidsen, Johanne Helga Heiberg, Roos Holleman, Brian McHenry, Mad Meg, Maldo Nollimerg, Ragnar Persson, Jon Pilkington, Krista Rosenkilde, Morten Schelde, Simon Schubert, Isabella Vella and Michael Würtz Overbeck.

📅 On view until 4 July 2026

ART MATTER FESTIVAL — GALLERY NIGHT ✨

Art Matter Festival has officially kicked off, and this Friday we are delighted to take part in Gallery Night together with a wonderful group of fellow galleries and art spaces across Vesterbro and Frederiksberg.

From 5–8 PM, the galleries open their doors for an informal and inspiring evening where art, conversation, and atmosphere intertwine. It is a chance to explore local galleries, discover new works, and meet artists and gallerists face to face — whether you are a seasoned collector or simply curious about contemporary art.

At the gallery, Anne Riber will host ongoing walk-and-talks in the paper-based group exhibition Get Your Paper Here, introducing the exhibition and some of the featured artists and works.

An especially refreshing drink with an exotic twist will be served throughout the evening.

Walk & talks every 20 minutes between 5–8 PM.

We look very much forward to welcoming you ✨

And a very special thank you to all the artists for their wonderful contributions to the exhibition. We would also like to extend a special thank you to who helped curate the exhibition and who is also presenting two fantastic works in the show.

We are thrilled to announce Formation Gallery’s participation in CAN Art Ibiza 2026, taking place from June 25–28 on Ibiza.

For the fair, we will present a duo presentation featuring new works by Danish artists Birgitte Vad and Carl Krull. The presentation brings together Krull’s dynamic and bodily paintings with Vad’s tactile mirror works and richly textured canvases, unfolding a dialogue between movement, materiality, reflection, surface, and depth.

Carl Krull’s paintings revolve around the body and human presence, expressed through explosive gestures, layered compositions, pulsating lines, movement, depth, and vivid colour. His works balance intensity and sensitivity, creating immersive compositions charged with energy and physicality. Birgitte Vad explores identity, aesthetics, femininity, and contemporary visual culture through textile-like structures, shimmering surfaces, and sensuous details balancing fragility and strength. Together, the two artists create a presentation that moves between the intuitive and the constructed, the monumental and the intimate.

We are very much looking forward to bringing this special presentation to Ibiza this summer.
