Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for the opening of FUTURA, the first solo exhibition in several years by Ruth Widmer Ruth Widmer curated by Wiktoria Tundys wiktundys.

In large-format drawings and works in porcelain and stoneware, Ruth Widmer sketches landscapes that do not yet exist but can already be felt. Architectural fragments of a possible future meet questions about where we are heading, individually and as a society, and about what becomes of responsibility when action and consequence drift apart. Fragile, almost archaeological objects, carried by a quiet, precise attention and by the hope that another, better future remains thinkable.

The exhibition remains open until October 29, 2026. We warmly invite you to visit and spend time with the works. The artist is present on Wednesdays from 11 am - 6 pm and on Saturdays from 11 am - 2 pm, a lovely occasion to talk with her in the space.

We warmly invite you to the opening of FUTURA, a solo exhibition by Ruth Widmer, on Thursday, October 8 at 6 pm.

In her first solo exhibition after a longer break, Widmer conjures landscapes in large-scale drawings and porcelain works that do not yet exist, but are already sensed. Architectural fragments of a possible future meet the question of humanity’s present condition, of the direction we are moving in, individually and as a society. Engaging with Hannah Arendt’s philosophy of action, Rosi Braidotti’s posthuman ethics, and the speculative visions of science fiction, from Aldous Huxley to Ursula K. Le Guin, the works are not images of accusation, but a quiet, precise form of observation, carried by the hope that another, better future remains thinkable.

Save the date: 26.08.26 at 18.00 the vernissage of Fragments of Conversation will open the doors of , bringing together works by Sixte Kakinda (), Mónica Iturribarría (.iturribarria), Keabetswe Boccomino () and Kwaku Dapaah Opoku (), Till Langschied(.langschied), Livia Kern () and Remo Schluep () – artists who have all taken part in the Atelier Mondial exchange program. The exhibition explores how communication remains possible even under difficult cultural, political or personal circumstances – and what fragments of encounter, memory and understanding emerge from this.

The exhibition brings together works from the series Myths of Everyday Life and Cicatrice, exploring landscapes and urban spaces as traces of human presence and memory. Between nocturnal city scenes, quiet light atmospheres, and the monumental marble quarries of Carrara, the photographs move between documentary observation and atmospheric intensity.

In Myths of Everyday Life, Kostas Maros photographs urban spaces as if something has just happened or is about to. No faces, no gestures. Only traces of actions that have already taken place, and a mood that reaches beyond the frame. There is something cinematic about these images. Like an establishing shot, they don’t tell us where the story is going. They place us inside a feeling.

In first serie, Maros focuses on the marble quarries of Carrara - landscapes shaped by extraction, history, and human intervention. The monumental cuts into the mountains reveal tensions between nature, industry, and aesthetics, while pointing toward long-term ecological transformation.
