Culture Days Manitoba

Culture Days Manitoba Culture Days is an opportunity to celebrate cultural expression and creativity in our lives as artists, audience, patrons, and participants.

This year Culture Days is embracing a multi-week celebration from September 18th - October 4th/2026 Culture Days Manitoba is a collaborative pan-Canadian volunteer movement to raise awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of all Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities. Every year on the last weekend of September, Culture Days features thousands of free, hands-on

, interactive activities that invite the public to participate “behind-the-scenes,” to discover the world of artists, creators, historians, architects, curators, designers and other creative people in their communities.

It’s the last day of classes before the winter break, we are thinking about the students at Culture Days 2025!

This year Culture Days Manitoba collaborated with the WAG-Qaumajuq and The Manitoba Children’s Museum to present two impactful days of student learning.

Sept. 19th students were invited to attend an immersive day of art and learning at the WAG-Qaumajuq. Students from grades 9-11 participated in guided tours, candid discussions, hands on projects and a live performance. It was so rewarding to see students meet local artists, raise questions and get firsthand feedback. Thanks to all involved!

On September 30th we held a day of free admission and engaging workshops at The Manitoba Children’s Museum. Youth aged 4-11 were introduced to indigenous drumming, medicine bag making and were able to audition the large-scale drum we commissioned from We were proud of the hands-on learning and grateful to all those staff and community members involved. We hope it brought forward meaningful discussions about reconciliation to families in Manitoba.

Stay tuned as we gear up to launch our 2026 Student programs this spring. We can’t wait to mentor and support the next generation of Manitoban artists!
