Work in Progress UPDATE! Added more colour, added more contrast, added more depth, added more transparent layers!

This piece is 90% done and ready for my upcoming exhibition Prairie Fusion Arts & Entertainment (Portage la Prairie, MB).

I submitted my price list last night and 63 pieces are heading there for September & October!

Joyful Life, 24”x24”x1.5” (SOLD) Two Macaws Concept Store Winnipeg before I got a professional photo taken to post. This image will have to do!

I love this piece, community members contribute to making a mark on First Fridays in the Exchange (a dot, a circle) based on the splatter pattern of my isopropyl splashes.

The person who purchased the piece was one of the contributors of the final piece. I wasn’t sure how this would go, it was one of my most favourite pieces - you can see the before reel of me talking about it - from a few weeks ago!

It’s good to take risks once in awhile ❤️

Thank you to the person who bought this for making this one extra special by including it in your collection of artwork! It comes with a story that you were very much a part of, even if it was a brief moment in time ❤️

For everyone who made it out to First Fridays in the Exchange it won’t be available at the shop for you to see on September 4, but I promise there are others there for you to see on the wall!

Every work in progress has an “ugly phase”. Most artists do not show it, but I’ll be vulnerable here. I am trying to get more comfortable with sharing the good and the less good.

You will be able to see the finished work Prairie Fusion Arts & Entertainment Sept 14 to October 23rd. It will be entirely different by then.

I’ve been working on a dozen new acrylics - looking forward to sharing with you!!

3Ps! Excited to be Producing, Presenting and Popping up at Two Macaws on August 7 from 5-9pm 68 Albert St. First Fridays in the Exchange! ❤️ Jordan Miller Artist + Two Macaws Concept Store Winnipeg

🎨Come make your mark!!
I’ll be working on a 24”x24” Alcohol ink on Yupo Paper piece with acrylic ink! If you’d like to make a mark (a dot or 10) I’ll have an extra paint pen with me.

🖼️At the end of the event I’ll be taking the piece home to varnish with UV varnish, returning it to the store on August 10 where it will hang at Two Macaws for sale for the remainder of the month....

🖼️While at the shop ask Noor about purchasing the work as my sales will all go through her to support her shop. As a former gallery owner, it’s important for our community to keep our arts and cultural community in business.

🖼️For those who are interested purchasing in my work, I’ll be selling mostly abstract night skies!

• small 6x8” to 12x12” pieces to sell as well as the ones on already up at the shop starting at $75.
• 4 styles of limited edition printed cards (25 in total)

Stumped, 9x12x1.5”, alcohol ink and acrylic ink on Yupo, mounted on birch panel, available Whiteshell Lake Resort

It was only after I created this piece that I saw what I think you can see. Can you see it?

I allow the ink to flow and pool organically before I manipulate the inks. This is very different than “pouring”.

trees came down in our yard this summer as they were too close to the house, one was tapping our roof on high wind days - very sad - as I love the trees in our yard. Turns out they were rotten in the core and would’ve fallen on the house eventually!

I had been thinking about it subconsciously as the ink bled up into the “sky” I managed to stop the flood before it spread too far. The other form though, that was not planned.

Stumped is a tree stump and a mysterious creature… looms in the sky creeping close to the stump!

Having fun in the studio is part of my art. Life is too challenging to be serious all of the time.

My work is available at whiteshell lake resort, if you are in the area please stop in. Liberty is awesome. My cards, hand painted and inked are all there as well!
